Hello,

My name is Ellen and I will guide you on this short evening meditation.

Just find a comfortable position,

Seated or lying down,

And take some moments to really support your body so that you can have a sense of relaxed presence.

Then start to notice the surface that you are sitting or lying on,

And really allow your body to rest here.

Scanning your body,

You can notice if there is any tension that you might be holding.

Simply invite your body to become soft and to relax.

And just taking a moment to check in with yourself.

How are you doing?

How are you feeling at the end of this day?

Know that it's all okay.

You don't need to change anything.

Just become aware of what is present.

And then from there,

Gently bring your focus to the movement of your breath.

Simply noticing the flow of air in and out of your body.

There's no need to change the breath.

Just let it flow in its own natural way.

And maybe there are lingering thoughts and ideas from this day still present in your space.

Well,

That's fine.

Just let them be.

After the fullness of the day,

This is a moment for you to simply be,

To rest,

To reconnect and to be present.

You can check in with yourself how you are.

How does your body feel?

How is your mind?

The busyness of the day may still be present in your space.

And that's okay.

You don't need to change it.

Giving yourself this little break at the end of your busy day is an act of kindness towards yourself.

Taking a moment not to have to achieve anything.

Allowing some space for rest and relaxation.

Just becoming present so that you can reconnect with yourself and feel what you need.

Winding down just by following the movement of your breath.

One breath at a time.

And now let's bring in some gratitude practice.

Bring to mind a few moments in this past day that you can really be grateful for,

No matter how small they are.

A nice conversation,

A beautiful moment,

A task completed.

Let the feeling of gratitude fill your heart.

Bring a gentle smile to your face.

And we can extend this feeling of gratitude also to the people in your life.

To the people around us,

Our friends,

Our family.

Sending them a gentle wish that they may be happy and peaceful.

Feeling the gratitude for having these people in your life.

And maybe by placing a hand on your heart,

Being grateful for this day,

For all that you've done,

All that you've experienced.

And feeling grateful for taking this time for yourself to reconnect,

To wind down,

So that you can continue your evening and your night in a relaxed,

Peaceful way.

In a relaxed and balanced way.
