As the gentle mist of rain falls softly around her, a young girl embarks on a peaceful stroll through her neighborhood. Along the way, she discovers an array of vibrant springtime flowers peeking through the dew-kissed grass, their colors illuminated by the soft light of dusk. With each step, she feels a sense of wonder and connection to the world around her. As the evening deepens and the neighborhood grows quiet, the narrator guides the listener to join the little girl in making three dandelion wishes. With each wish, they are encouraged to focus their thoughts, open their hearts, and breathe deeply, allowing the calming energy of the night to envelop them. And as they drift off to sleep, they carry with them the tranquility and magic of the evening's walk, ready to embark on dreams filled with hope and possibility.

Welcome to Jessica's Bedtime Meditations.

It's time to tell our bodies to get ready to rest.

Have I brushed my teeth?

Do I have on cozy pajamas or bedtime clothes?

Did I go potty one last time?

Okay,

I think we're ready.

Settle down your body into your bed.

We're going to wiggle our toes back and forth.

Wiggle your hips back and forth and get really cozy down into your bed.

Yeah,

Maybe one last stretch before the story begins.

There we go.

I want you to gently close your eyes and think about what your breath is doing.

Can you feel the air coming in your nose?

Nice.

Can you feel the air coming out of your nose?

Very nice.

Where does the breath land inside your body?

Maybe it lands in your heart space or maybe it lands in your tummy space.

Wherever it is is perfectly okay.

I want to tell you a story today about a little girl who was taking a little walk in the little rain.

She was on a walk with her dog and her mom and her dad.

It was raining,

But just a little bit.

It wasn't raining a lot.

It was more like a mist.

It was more like a misty kind of rain.

The family wasn't walking very fast.

They were walking rather slowly,

In fact.

A nice stroll,

We'll call it.

The little girl was on a stroll.

At first,

She was holding her mommy's hand as they walked.

The dog was sniffing all around.

The dog was sniffing every single blade of grass.

You know how nice grass smells when it's a little bit wet,

Especially in the springtime.

It was,

In fact,

Springtime.

The dog's nose was wiggling all around,

Sniffing the blades of grass.

The flowers were starting to come out.

It was past the time of the daffodils and it was just in time for the tulips.

There were pink tulips and orange tulips and pink and orange tulips.

The little girl's mommy said,

Oh,

Look at all those tulips in that person's yard.

How many tulips do you think are in that yard?

The little girl stopped and looked and wondered.

She tipped her head to the right and the left and then she pointed her finger at the tulips.

She calculated very quickly in her head.

She thought there were 55 tulips.

There were so many tulips.

Well,

That's a really good estimate.

The family kept walking and the dogs kept sniffing.

Once in a while,

Other people would walk by with their dogs.

Some people were even jogging in the rain.

Because,

You know,

Just because there's a little rain doesn't mean we can't go outside.

It felt really good,

Actually,

To have a little mist on our faces.

So as the family kept walking,

The little girl kept noticing different things around the walk.

Other types of flowers.

There were little purple bluebell flowers.

Well,

I don't really know if they were called bluebells,

But they were kind of shaped like a bell.

So let's just say that they were bluebells.

And the little girl smelled the flower and said,

Oh my goodness,

This flower smells so yummy.

It smells like sugar.

And then they kept walking and there was this beautiful scent coming through the spring misty air.

It smelled like the most delicious smell you'd ever smelled.

And it was a special type of flower on a bush.

There were hundreds of these little white round disco ball flowers.

And everybody stopped and put their nose into the bush and took a big deep breath in.

I smell so good.

So on they walked in the misty spring rain,

Noticing all the flowers that were popping out.

You know,

It really is a magical time at the beginning of spring when all the flowers start popping out.

Another type of flower that pops out in the grass is yellow.

Some people think it's a weed.

But some people even eat this type of flower in tea.

And it is called a dandelion.

And at first,

The dandelion flower is very,

Very yellow with a green stem.

And always I see this type of flower growing in the grass.

And at some point,

The most magical thing happens with the dandelion.

The little yellow petals of the dandelion turn into a puff.

Like a white puff.

I don't even know how else to describe it,

But these little dandelion petals die off and become seeds.

And the whole thing is this beautiful round white puff.

So the little girl noticed that the dandelion started to make puffs.

And she picked one dandelion puff.

And she took a deep breath in.

And she blew out and blew the dandelion seeds all over the place.

As she did so,

She made a wish.

And that was really fun.

So she started now searching around and being on the hunt for dandelion puffs.

She picked up one dandelion puff.

She picked up two dandelion puffs.

The next thing she knew,

She had three dandelion puffs in her right hand and three dandelion puffs in her left hand.

And she was making so many wishes.

Now nobody knows what she wished because that's something you can keep inside of your mind.

But my question to you,

Young dreamer,

Is if you had three dandelion puffs.

Don't say it out loud.

Keep it in your mind.

I want you to think about what you would wish for.

Think about people who love you and the people who you love.

And I want you to think about what would your three dandelion puff wishes be.

I want you to hold up one finger for one dandelion wish.

And when you have an idea of your wish,

Hold it in your mind.

Hold it there.

Hold it in your heart.

Notice how you feel when you're thinking about your dandelion wish.

Take a nice inhale.

Get ready to blow out your dandelion puff and make your wish.

Inhale.

Here we go.

And gently,

Gently,

Gently exhale and blow your dandelion.

Notice how you feel.

Yeah.

Now you get two more wishes.

As I leave,

You can think about what your two other wishes would be.

You're going to take a deep breath in.

Hold your wish in your head.

Hold your wish in your heart and gently blow out.

Notice how you feel making such a nice sweet wish.

And you get one more turn making a wish.

My voice is going to leave you as you make this last wish.

And then you can drift off to sleep listening to a nice sweet song.

As you think about your lovely,

Inhale and gently blow out your dandelion puff wish.

Sweet dreams.
