Welcome,
This is a guided meditation to help you relax.
Take 5 minutes with me to regulate and recalibrate.
Wherever you are,
Find a place to sit and relax.
Feet flat on the floor,
Sitting upright,
But also feeling relaxed.
And whenever you're ready,
Close your eyes.
Close your eyes and take a nice deep breath in,
Breathing in deeply,
And then letting out a nice big exhale,
Inhaling through your nose,
Filling your belly with breath,
And exhaling from the mouth,
Letting out a nice big sigh.
Let's do that once more,
Inhaling deeply and exhaling completely.
Return to a normal pace of breath and begin to bring your focus inward,
Bringing your awareness down to your feet.
Begin to sense your left foot,
And then sense your right foot,
Just noticing,
Beginning to ground into your body.
Let's take a minute to just let go of your day thus far,
Detaching from the worries of your day and taking the time to connect with yourself and relax right here,
Right now.
And now,
Move your attention from your feet up into your legs.
Feel both of your legs,
From your hips all the way down to your feet,
All at the same time.
Sensing your legs,
Connecting with the lower half of your body,
And just continue to breathe in and out,
Relaxing,
Releasing.
And from here,
Allow your center of gravity to drop down into the earth below you.
Let your body grow heavy,
And just allow yourself to ground down,
Bringing your focus now into your belly.
Take a moment to release any tension,
Clenching,
Or holding sensations,
And just take up as much space as you need.
Breathing in and breathing out freely.
And connecting now with your upper back and chest,
Sensing if there's any tension here,
And just allow your shoulders to fall away from your ears,
Relaxing on your back,
Letting go of any tension in the neck and the shoulders,
As you allow waves of relaxation to flow down your arms all the way to your fingertips.
And finally,
Bringing your awareness up to your head,
Allowing your eyebrows to soften,
Letting your jaw relax.
Begin to sense the crown of your head,
And envision a light shining out from the top of your head up into the sky,
Shining upwards like a flashlight.
And just breathe,
Big breath in,
Big breath out.
And you can let that visualization go,
And just return to a natural pace of breath,
And simply allow yourself to rest and breathe naturally for a few more minutes.
And whenever you're ready,
You can begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes,
And slowly and gently open your eyes when you're ready.
