Hi,
My name is Dieke,
And in this video,
I'm gonna take you through my five-step feminine embodied morning routine.
And this routine starts from the moment that I wake up.
So not from the moment that I get out of bed after I already scrolled and grabbed my phone.
No,
The first instance that I'm noticing I'm awake,
This is what I do.
Step number one is that I basically,
The moment I feel like,
Wow,
I'm having this awareness that I'm waking up,
My body is part of that experience,
That it's not just happening in my head.
And so that means I will start caressing and touching my body,
Just acknowledging that like,
Hey,
This is also part of who I am.
This is also where I live.
I don't just live up in my head.
Actually,
I aim to live mostly in my body from an embodied space because it's here where my feminine essence,
My feminine energy and my feminine power lives.
The head and so you can think yourself all that you want or learn as much as you want about the feminine but you're not really going to get it as long as you're not actually experiencing and feeling it in your body and in order to do that you'll have to start practicing and using your body and not just your head Okay,
So that after I have basically caressed and felt and touched my body and acknowledged and communicated to myself and to my system,
This is also part of my life.
This is where I live my life from.
This is what I love being in and what I'm grateful for to have.
Then from that space,
I will start stretching out like a lazy cat.
And I'm not sure if you ever witnessed or seen cats,
The best naps in the entire world.
Like if you've seen a cat just enjoy napping,
They might be curled up,
They might be stretched out,
And they're fully in enjoyment of resting,
Of sleeping.
So not only that,
But then when you see them sometimes stretch out and move,
They're having this yummy essence to that.
And so that's basically what I'm trying to embody here and what I'm trying to tap into.
And by stretching like a lazy cat all over my bed,
Exploring how my body feels.
I not only connect to this sort of yummy gratitude space as I was a lazy cat and just had the best sleep of my life and that I'm super grateful for and that I love being alive.
Not only that,
Also what this practice is for is just to explore like how does my body feel?
How am I waking up this morning?
Because it's going to be different day by day and often in the morning when you've slept for a long time,
Your body might feel actually a bit tense and dense and not as yummy and necessarily pleasureful to be in straight away.
And so it's really nice to give your body a little bit of time and just being present with the fact that,
Oh yeah,
I'm having some tenseness here.
Oh yeah,
This is part of me as well.
And through that stretching,
Taking time to sort of open up and to unwind.
It doesn't have to take long,
Literally just a few minutes rolling around,
Maybe adding a little bit of stretching out so that you really allow yourself to also play and to connect to that sort of feminine energy and feminine playfulness And at the same time,
Really loving up your body by gently opening and checking in where your body is at so that you won't overwrite your body by just jumping out and starting to straight away be busy.
Now,
After I've stretched like a lazy cat,
That's the moment when I either come to sit up or I still am lying down,
But I'll connect to my breathing.
Often I'll place a hand on my lower belly or on my heart and allow myself to take some deep belly breaths.
So that I'm really anchoring in and finding this grounded space within and remembering that my breath is a really powerful tool to relax and unwind my nervous system.
Specifically,
First thing in the morning,
It's also very normal if your mind straightaway starts being busy,
Especially if you didn't sort of unwind in the evening.
You'll basically just start right off where you left it in the evening.
So sometimes your mind can be really busy or you're straightaway starting to think about all the things that need to happen during that day.
Straightaway starts being activated.
Now,
Where stress and activation of the nervous system is not necessarily bad,
Because it's designed to do things also during the day.
However,
What tends to happen is that we only act and move from that space during our day,
And that we also don't really know how to shut it off.
And that leads to exhaustion,
To burnout,
To anxiety,
All kinds of things that are not really fun experiences to have.
My breathing and doing a little breathing practice.
I remember and remind myself that a relaxed nervous system mode,
A nervous system that's regulated,
Is the baseline,
Is the foundation,
Is the place that I can return to every moment of the day and something that I can live from.
It's like the baseline,
A home base.
And so I create the sense of inner trust and inner safety with it.
Now,
After I took some deep breaths and did a little bit of breathing practice,
Again,
Literally just a few minutes.
That is when I will finally rise up out of my bed and this is the moment to actually make my bed.
This is a promise I make to myself and this is testing my commitment because almost every morning I don't necessarily want to make my bed and I'm excited to make my bed.
However,
I once read,
I think it came actually from a military official that basically said if you make your bed every morning,
Already achieved something so you already had sort of like a thing that you did that was a success and that basically sets you up for success during the day because you program yourself to be committed with even such a small action and so somehow that really stuck and so I started to make my bed every morning Even if I didn't want to,
I made that effort and it somehow really anchored in,
Created this foundation of inner commitment.
And this helps you basically to connect to your inner masculine side.
And this is actually an essential part of you if you want to connect more and be more in your feminine and live more from your feminine essence and energy during your day.
It's actually really essential to have this inner masculine foundation as well.
And so practicing,
Keeping the promises that you make to yourself,
Practicing commitment and dedication are essential.
And also I'll often take a little pause,
A little moment of stillness,
Inner stillness so that I can just practice my presence and my awareness and in that way I create this foundation this groundedness within from which I know that I can always sort of like rely on that part in myself and then it's really easy to sort of connect to my feminine energy from there to allow that to to play and to flourish and to inspire and to create during the day.
So then after I made my bed,
I had a moment of stillness.
From there,
I'll do just next to the bed,
A little bit of stretching of my hips,
Of the rest of my body and practicing the difference between tightness and relaxation and flow.
And so I'll do a little bit of sensuous movement,
Moving my hips,
Because it's basically in the hips that your feminine aliveness and creativity and sensuality lives.
And it's this power that helps you basically be this spark that helps you turn the lights on within your being,
Within your life.
And so specifically for women that feel like,
Where did my spark go?
Or where is my playfulness?
Or sometimes it feels like just the lights are dimmed,
Like I'm numbed out.
I'm not really here,
Not really connecting to myself,
Not really allowing myself to play and to just enjoy and be alive and connect to that sort of pleasure.
In that way,
It can be really powerful to start your day just with a little reminder to your hips,
Also this sensuous,
This yummy,
This flowy side within me,
Not only the part that just goes and does and achieves and runs off to the next thing and the next thing and the next thing and that holds all the balls up.
I know that you're really good at that and that's not necessarily a bad thing,
Yet it's important to also make space for that other part of you,
That feminine side of you and to let her lead,
To let her start your day.
And if you do that,
If you start basically from your feminine energy,
From your feminine essence,
Not just by thinking yourself into that,
But actually doing that through the body,
You create a different foundation,
A new foundation,
An unshakable foundation in which it's really easy to come back to during your day.
It's so much easier to then catch yourself when you're going into overdrive and to remember,
Oh yeah,
There is something else also.
Oh yeah this is not the most healthy not the most supportive for me And that sort of coming back will be so much easier because your body knows that space.
If you don't know that space within your body,
It's very difficult to return there.
And so basically my morning routine is designed to remind me of that feminine embodied space that I can live from during my day in my life.
