Hi,
My name is Dieke and I'm going to be guiding you through this feminine embodiment practice for beginners.
Now,
What is feminine embodiment?
Basically,
It stands for embodying,
Finding a way to move,
To express,
To experience,
To feel the feminine energy or the feminine essence within yourself.
Now,
Specifically when it comes to the feminine,
Which has all to do with your body,
Your ability to feel,
To slow down,
To soften,
To open up,
To connect to your sensuous nature,
Your flow,
Lowly nature,
As well as your ability to receive,
To surrender,
To love,
And to connect to your intuition and truly trust it and listen to it.
All of those qualities are something that I could talk to you about and get you a theoretical understanding.
And yet at the same time,
The way to truly learn those qualities and connect to those skills and to that essence is not something that you do with your head.
That's only something you can access and tap into and learn about with your body.
And so that's basically what we do in feminine embodiment.
And so the way that I design feminine embodiment practice is basically by using the three keys that help you to connect to your feminine.
And basically these are three keys that get you out of your head and directly into your body.
Those three keys are your breath.
So that means we might use and do practices that include the breath.
It includes movement,
The second key.
So different kinds of movement,
Which could be yoga,
But also dance or just more free flow,
Somatic movements.
And the third key is sound.
So finding a way to connect to your throat,
Your ability to make sound,
To express your truth.
And specifically when we combine these three together,
That's when we have the most powerful combination,
The most effective way to straight away get out of your head into your body and connect to your feminine energy and your feminine essence.
And so basically in the upcoming practice,
I am going to invite you and what we're going to explore is connecting to these three different keys,
Breath,
Movement,
And sound.
At the same time,
The quality that I'd like for you to experience and that we're going to explore is our ability to flow.
So specifically when it comes to the difference between the masculine and the feminine,
The masculine and what we tend to know and basically the way that we live and the energy that we mainly connect from,
Is very linear.
We go,
We do,
We achieve,
We reach goals.
And that gets us a lot in our head.
And so we're living a lot up here.
And even if there's not necessarily anything wrong with it,
There is a place and a time for our masculine qualities,
For our masculine energy,
For our ability to get stuff done and to have that ambition.
And yet at the same time,
There is also a time and place to connect to our inner flow,
Our inner current,
This nonlinear space where basically we start understand that we as women,
Our feminine nature is not linear.
Our body literally moves in cycles,
Flows through different seasons when we talk about our menstruation cycle.
And so it's really important that we learn to understand what that nonlinear space and that nonlinear energy is within us and how we can connect to that and also start listening and trusting that more.
Because it might not be as logical,
But the feminine is very magical.
And that's how basically that spark,
That mystery,
That magic comes back into your life when you connect more to your feminine side.
And then you start to see that things will get done.
Things will manifest and happen.
But maybe not in the logical way that you think you need to do it,
Or the most productive way according to your mind,
But it might actually become way more effortless,
Where you actually can start to lean back and let things come your way,
Because the feminine attracts.
So if you're curious about this,
Let's give it a try.
Let's practice a first little glimpse of how that looks,
How that can be done.
And so as already mentioned,
Personally,
I combine different wisdom traditions.
Um,
So I have a background in yoga,
I'm trained in meditation,
But also trained in dance and massage.
And so the way that I design my feminine embodiment practices is by using all these different kinds of elements.
So I use yoga,
I use dance,
Free flow movement,
As well as a deep sense of mindfulness and meditation,
Um,
And also self touch and connection,
Including those three keys.
Breath,
Movement,
And sound.
Okay,
Let's begin.
One bell marks the start,
Three bells mark the end of this feminine embodiment practice.
For beginners.
So just coming to sit in a seated position can be cross-legged.
You could even do this on a chair.
Just making sure that you're comfortable.
That's the most important thing.
And then just for a moment,
Close your eyes.
You can take this moment to thank yourself for showing up.
And for giving this a go,
For trying this out.
I think you can gently open your eyes.
And then we're going to begin by connecting to our breath.
So I want to invite you to take a breath in through your nose,
So filling up your lungs.
And then with an open mouth,
Relaxed,
Jaw side out.
So we're gonna do that two more times.
And if you feel like it,
Your body naturally wants to move,
Just allow it.
Deep breath in.
And exhale,
Open mouth,
Side out.
Beautiful,
One more time,
Deep breath in.
Relax your jaw inside out.
Now from here,
We're going to actually bring in the movement.
So again,
Deep breath in.
And on the exhale,
When we're sighing it out,
We're relaxing the jaw.
So creating that relaxation already in your system and just allowing your body to shake and to move a little bit,
To wiggle.
Deep breath in.
Exhale,
Side out,
Relax your jaw and allow a movement to naturally come from that exhale.
Beautiful.
Try it out again.
Deep breath in.
Exhale,
Sigh it out and let it ripple into a movement.
Beautiful.
One more time.
Deep breath in.
And exhale,
Sigh it out with the movement.
Amazing.
And still this might not come as natural yet.
So let's just like shake out the hands,
Give your hands a little shake.
And also shake out your arms.
Strap your shoulders.
Let's see if it can just give your whole upper body a little shake and shimmy.
Amazing.
Yes.
Beautiful.
And then from here,
Let's just like relax our jaw a little bit more so we can massage our jaw out just gently.
So we can place our hands at the corners of our jaw.
And just allowing your jaw to relax.
So letting your lips separate.
I'm just putting up some weird faces basically.
It doesn't have to be pretty.
You can close down your eyes.
I'm just massaging out any tension from your jaw.
Maybe stroking along the jawline.
Beautiful.
And now we're going to add that third key,
Third component,
Which is sound.
And before we do that,
Before we link breath,
Movement,
And sound altogether,
Just placing your hands or your fingertips on your throat and just gently stroking.
Gently acknowledging this part of your body.
And with a relaxed jaw,
Just see if you can make a gentle sound.
Or an O.
Or sort of a humming.
See if you can also really feel those vibrations under your fingertips.
Aum Beautiful.
So now you know that you can make some sort of sound.
Let's bridge breath movement and sound.
So taking a deep breath in.
Filling up your lungs on the exhale,
Side out,
Letting a movement come out with a sound.
Beautiful.
Again,
Deep breath in.
And exhale a movement and a sound on that exhale.
And you're allowed to be just a little weird or for it to feel a little awkward,
That's totally normal.
And just try it out again,
Deep breath in.
And exhale,
Let it go.
Ah.
Beautiful.
So this is basically a very easy and powerful way.
If you're noticing that you're really heady or you're noticing that tension building up or overwhelmed or just sort of a disconnect from yourself,
Just even doing this breath movement sound,
Just a few breaths.
Shake it out,
Making a gentle sound or taking a few deep breaths,
Either all connected together or separately.
Already make a difference.
Now,
From here.
One more exercise and taking this moment here to just connect and touch your body for a moment.
So just acknowledging that you have this body.
That moves you through your day.
So just connecting through touch everywhere.
And with that,
You're just kind of communicating,
Oh yeah.
There is more to me.
Than just.
.
.
Logics,
Being in my mind,
Thinking,
Analyzing.
There is also all of this.
Beautiful.
And so when we're talking the feminine,
One of its qualities is its ability to flow,
This ability to kind of be illogical,
To just move in a nonlinear way.
So we're going to just explore that a little bit,
Free flow within that.
Before,
It's nice to feel the difference.
So bringing your arms out to the side,
Sort of cactus arms.
So bend at the elbows,
Palms face forward.
And then from here,
We're going to just move in straight lines.
So you're only allowed to move and hinge in linear ways.
So see how would you move.
Your arms.
In linear lines,
Straight lines.
Okay.
And just noticing while you're doing that.
What happens in your body when you do so?
Can you sense that it sort of activates?
This a little bit harder.
Logical,
Directed.
Focused way.
Of being.
Now from here,
Arms out wide again.
And from now,
I'm going to invite you to just curl your fingers.
So play with your fingers.
Letting your fingers relax,
Letting your hands relax.
Bringing some movement into the rest.
And from the wrists into the elbows.
And from the elbows into the shoulders.
And then here,
Relaxing your arms.
And now the invitation is to only make sort of illogical,
Flowy,
Non-linear movements with your arms.
And if you like,
You can even close your eyes and just while you're doing that,
While you're playing,
Flowing with your arms.
Just noticing how that feels in your body.
And can you sense that it sort of activates a little softer space within?
A little bit.
More playful and flowy.
Amazing.
And then from here,
Allowing your arms to wrap around you,
Giving yourself a loving hug.
And we're going to close this practice here.
Just a few moments of stillness,
Just holding yourself.
You the bell.
And then we finish here,
Placing your hands in front of your chest or your third eye.
In a sort of prayer hands and just taking this moment to thank yourself for showing up and for trying something new.
Thank you.
