Welcome.
Today's inspiration is unconditional love.
The poet Rumi wrote,
Your task is not to seek for love.
But merely to seek and find all of the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.
We experience unconditional love when we arrive in the world and when we depart it.
When we open up our hearts to others fully.
And in the act of giving and receiving.
With genuine positive regard.
Acceptance,
And empathy.
Meditation offers us insight into the experience of true love and devotion in everything we touch.
And it illuminates the path forward.
Guiding us in compassion and forgiveness for ourselves and others.
Let's follow the path now.
Find a comfortable seat.
Gently close your eyes.
Bring your awareness to your breath.
Observing the breath as it rises and falls.
Breathing in.
.
.
Breathing out.
When we recognize the energetic connection between all things.
We find vulnerability,
Comfort.
And sweetness in our love and devotion for self and others.
The Abhaya Mudra is a hand gesture which means fear not.
Symbolizing the dispelling of fear and opening ourselves up to love.
To practice Avijja Mutra,
Bring your right hand in front of you at shoulder height.
Palm open.
Facing forward.
Breathe here.
And allow the mudra to draw your awareness inward.
Bringing you a sense of safety.
Creating space for your heart to open in unconditional love.
Release the mudra.
And let your hands rest on your legs.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Now place your attention on your heart.
And visualize your breath flowing through your heart and into the back of your body,
Supporting your spine.
Holding you.
Sense the subtle energy behind you,
Supporting,
Bolstering you in your heart.
The subtle energy of unconditional love is present within you.
It is the connective power between all beings.
Supporting you.
And surrounding you.
Breathing deeply.
Allowing this subtle energy to radiate through your whole body.
Comforting you.
Nourishing you.
Opening your heart to a path of love.
And devotion.
In sending unconditional love out to the whole world.
I'll watch the time.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
The novelist James Joyce wrote,
Love loves to love love.
Today,
Release any fear and meet yourself and those you care for with unbounded love and devotion.
Namaste.
