Today's inspiration is to choose love.
The author Bell Hooks wrote that,
The moment we choose to love,
We begin to move towards freedom.
When we tap into our spiritual heart.
We connect with the source of gratitude and love.
Let gratitude flow.
Consider the day ahead.
Reflect on the day past.
The more you practice,
The easier it becomes.
Let's come to our hearts now and let love grow from within.
Find a comfortable seat.
Gently close your eyes.
Bring your awareness to your breathing.
Notice the breath as it gently rises and falls.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Now take a few moments to contemplate what choosing love means to you.
How can I offer more love to myself?
How can I offer more love?
To loved ones.
What do I care about?
What touches my heart?
How can I fill my cup with love and let it overflow?
Let the questions be there.
Welcoming in the invitation.
To choose love.
Now,
Place your hands to rest on your knees,
Palms facing up.
Comfortably bring the tips of your index fingers to the base of your thumbs.
Rest the middle two fingers on the tip of the thumbs.
And extend the little fingers.
This is the Hridaya Mutra.
Or heart gesture.
Mantras allow us to draw our awareness inward.
And channel our energy with intention.
The Hridaya Mudra revitalizes energy to and from the heart.
Nourishing every cell of the body.
Visualize the subtle energy of the mudra gently awakening your heart.
To consciously choose love as you breathe here.
Now bring your awareness to the area in the middle of your chest,
Your heart center.
As you breathe,
Visualize your breath flowing through your heart.
You may visualize the light at your heart.
Perhaps green or light pink.
This circle of light expanding and radiating out with each breath.
As thoughts,
Feelings,
Emotions arise.
Let them come.
And let them go.
Come back to your breath.
Back to your heart.
Simply connect with the subtle glow of your heart.
And receive its message of love.
Without judgment or agenda.
Rest here in this space of your heart.
Expanding in love.
I'll watch the time.

You may release the mudra,
Letting the hands rest on your knees.
And take a cleansing breath in through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
When you're ready,
Gently open the eyes.
Today,
Choose love.
And witness the space that opens up for infinite possibilities.
