Welcome back to day 3 of your 30 day journey,
Taking this time once again to pause,
To step out of the pace of your day and into a space of awareness,
A space where nothing needs to be forced,
Nothing needs to be fixed.
And if it feels comfortable,
Allow yourself to settle into your position,
Letting the body begin to arrive,
At its own pace,
And gently begin to bring awareness to the breath,
Not changing it,
Just noticing the inhale and the exhale,
And then slowly,
Expanding your awareness into the body.
Begin at the top of the head,
Just noticing,
Any sensation,
Any tension,
Or perhaps very little at all.
And if it feels right,
Invite a softening here,
Not forcing release,
But allowing space,
Allowing ease,
And then,
Gently returning again,
To the breath,
Letting the inhale arrive and the exhale soften the body.
And now,
Bringing awareness to the forehead,
The space between the eyes,
The eyes themselves.
And if it feels comfortable,
Let these areas relax,
Let the eyes rest back,
Let the forehead smooth,
And again,
Returning to the breath,
And exhaling,
Allowing each breath out to carry a sense of release,
And not into the jaw,
Noticing if there is any holding,
Any tightness,
And if it feels right,
Let the jaw unclench,
The tongue soften,
Resting naturally,
And again,
Gently returning to the breath,
Letting it guide the body into a deeper ease.
And now,
Bringing awareness down into the neck and the shoulders,
Often holding more than we realize,
And it feels supportive.
Allow the shoulders to drop,
Just slightly,
Like setting something down,
Something you no longer need to carry,
Even if only for this moment,
And then returning again,
To the breath,
Noticing the inhale and the exhale,
Letting each breath out,
Soften the shoulders a little more,
And now,
Down through the arms,
The elbows,
The hands,
Notice the weight of the hands,
And the feeling of them resting,
And if it feels comfortable,
Allow them to come a little heavier,
More supported,
And again,
Returning to the breath,
Steady,
Gentle,
Always here.
Now,
Bringing awareness into the chest,
Feeling the natural rise and fall,
And allowing that movement to become easy,
Unrestricted,
And into the belly,
Letting it relax completely,
Not holding,
No effort,
Just soft,
And again,
Returning to the breath,
Letting each exhale invite deeper release,
And now,
Into the hips,
The legs,
All the way down to the feet,
Noticing the contact,
The support,
And if it feels right,
Allow the legs to be heavy,
The feet grounded,
And once more,
Returning to the breath,
Inhaling and exhaling,
And now,
Sensing the whole body,
Together,
As one connected field,
Softening,
Breathing,
Supported,
And if at any point,
The mind drifts,
Or tension moves away,
Just gently bring it back to the body,
To the breath,
Again and again,
And as you rest here,
You may begin to feel a deeper sense of ease,
Not because you forced the body to relax,
But because you allowed it.
Just remain here,
Breathing,
Softening,
Allowing,
Nothing to fix,
Nothing to change,
Just this body,
At rest.
Take a moment to notice how you feel,
Not needing it to be different,
Just acknowledging what's here,
And as you move into the rest of your day,
See if you can carry even a small part of this,
This softness,
This awareness,
This ease,
With you,
And remember,
You can return to this at any time,
With a single breath,
I'll be here with you,
For the next step,
Whenever you are ready,
Until then,
Take care and be gentle with yourself,
And remember,
Slow down,
Soften,
And return.
