Oh,
There is some pretty loud thunder going on outside,
Which must mean we're about to talk about something important.
So the three secrets to happiness and fulfillment.
Number one for me is balance.
So not just focusing all of your energy on work or all of your energy on family or relationships or your art,
But on all of the above.
I've wrote a whole book on this topic.
It's sitting behind me.
And if we don't fulfill certain areas of life,
There starts to feel like there's a bit of a gap.
We're missing something.
And I found when I'm on my path,
I'm working,
I'm playing,
I have healthy relationships,
I'm exercising and eating well,
Just enough of each piece.
That's when I feel the best.
So I think balance is essential.
When we look at nature,
When we look at the ecological landscape of the world,
We see balance.
And humans tend to be really bad at balance.
So number one for me is balance.
Number two is purpose.
So if you don't have purpose in your life,
You don't have a clear direction or a sense of accomplishing something,
Fulfilling something,
Then that's when you start to feel an emptiness inside.
Now some folks,
They chase the external pleasures or validation for a long time,
And maybe they get them and then realize there's still an emptiness.
And so there's a lot of different levels of purpose.
I do a whole course on the seven levels of purpose.
So I'm not saying there's just one thing you have to focus your whole life on.
That would not be balanced.
But if you're not asking yourself,
What is my purpose today,
This week,
This month,
This year,
And this lifetime?
And am I truly fulfilling it?
Do I feel like I'm on my path?
Or do I feel like I'm off my path?
You're not asking those questions.
Then either you're so on your path,
You don't have time to ask,
Or you haven't thought about it enough yet.
You know,
It might need some contemplation and attention.
For me,
It's always been a deep part of my life.
What is my life purpose?
I've asked that question 10,
000 times,
And I sit and I deepen into it.
And it's kind of an inch by inch,
Moment by moment deepening.
It's not just one thing.
Being in the moment,
When we're actually present,
That's when our purpose can start to open up.
Then we have intuitive sight into our path.
So for me,
First is balance.
Second is purpose.
And third,
And by the way,
This is in no particular order,
But third is love.
As human beings,
We are wired to love,
To give love and receive love.
And almost every class I've ever taught where I asked this question,
And we could do it together right now,
But if you're on a plane,
And it's about to go down,
And you just have a few seconds to have your last thoughts and think about your last things,
Who or what are you going to think about?
And almost everyone always says,
The people closest to me in my life that I love.
No one's ever like,
My bank account could have been bigger.
I could have made more YouTube content.
Nobody ever says that.
It's always their deep connections to other beings,
Animals,
And or people,
Nature.
It's connection and love.
So if you're not fulfilled in your capacity to give and receive love,
If you're not feeling like you're on your path and that you really have purpose,
And if you don't have balance in your energy,
Then you're probably going to veer off your course and not feel so great.
So many people want this one answer.
What's going to make me happy?
What's going to make me enlightened?
What's going to give me my purpose?
But it might be more like a recipe of a really good meal.
It's a bunch of things put together,
All given the time and attention that they need.
Not just one thing that you're going to figure out in your head.
It's more of a really well-lived life,
Full of balance,
Purpose,
And love.
That's what my sense is anyway.
So I hope that was helpful.
And how do you find those?
And how do you get them?
I start by meditating,
Going inward,
And then working my way from the inside out.
I have lots of other videos and hundreds of free hours of content meditations to help you with that.
So I hope you find your happiness,
And your purpose,
And your love,
And your balance.
I'll see you next time.
Love you.
