The Visuddha or throat chakra acts as the body's communication hub.
It's where you find your voice,
Speak your truth,
And sing praises for yourself and for others.
This chakra is associated with speaking up and expressing yourself,
But also with hearing and being heard.
The Visuddha chakra is associated with truth,
Clarity,
And responsibility.
Let's start our meditation today by finding your way to an upright and dignified posture.
Close your eyes or lower your eyes in a soft gaze.
Place your feet on the ground and relax your arms at your sides.
Rest your hands in your lap.
Draw your shoulder blades subtly towards each other,
Allowing the chin to be parallel with the floor.
Lift the crown of your head up toward the sky.
Soften the belly.
Soften the jaw.
If your neck feels stiff or fatigued,
Feel free to roll the shoulders.
Feel the head just to help release the cervical spine.
Just gently come to a stop.
Notice what it feels like to be sitting in this purposeful posture,
In this moment,
In this space.
Perhaps now take a moment to welcome yourself to your practice,
Acknowledging your willingness to be here for yourself in this way.
Notice that you are breathing.
There's no need to change or manipulate the breath in any way.
Just allow the breath to be here.
Simply follow the breath in and follow the breath out.
Rest where you feel the sensations,
Becoming aware of the air moving in and out,
Sensing the gentle expanding and contracting of the chest and ribs.
Allow your attention to rest on the sensations of the breath as it flows in and out of the body.
Begin to visualize a vibrant blue wheel at the base of your neck.
Notice it whirling within you.
Feel its soothing,
Cooling vibrations.
Recognize that this is your throat chakra.
Imagine this wheel opening up,
Inviting more positive energy into your system.
Allow it to grow larger,
Seeing and feeling its blue hue and lights spreading across the rest of your body.
How does it make you feel?
As you recognize the emotions that this chakra brings up,
Look within and see what truths you have held inside of you.
What beliefs that you would like now to express?
Perhaps you would like to pursue a passion project.
Maybe fight for something you believe in or simply verbalize your affection to somebody you love.
Recognize any of these truths inside of you,
Perhaps floating in radiant blue light.
As you recognize these truths,
Begin to repeat to yourself the following.
I speak my truth freely and openly.
My honesty attracts what I deserve.
I let my voice be heard.
I do no harm with my words.
I speak with authenticity,
With grace,
With courage.
I trust my conviction and act on my truth.
I listen to my own inner knowing.
Inhaling now,
Exhaling,
Let it out.
Deep breaths.
Just take a moment here in silence to rest in this embodied awareness.
Just breathing.
Just feeling.
Just being with you.
Your inner knowing.
Your authenticity.
Your kindness.
As we end this meditation,
Take a moment now to express gratitude to yourself.
For taking time to cultivate this practice.
I know that today you have done very powerful work in cleansing,
Healing,
And activating your throat chakra.
Gently,
Slowly,
Open your eyes.
Begin to move your hands and feet.
Let yourself reconnect to your surroundings.
Namaste.
