Welcome to Inner Harmony,

Befriending your inner voice,

A meditation designed to guide you towards a more compassionate and understanding relationship with the voices in your head.

This journey invites you to listen deeply,

Discerning between the myriad of voices and finding the ones that offer encouragement,

Guidance and positive reinforcement.

So go ahead and find a quiet and comfortable space where you can sit or lie down without interruptions tonight.

Maybe already be in your bed.

Close your eyes and take a few deep,

Grounding breaths.

With each exhale,

Feel any tension melting away,

Preparing your mind and heart for a journey inward.

On your next inhale,

Acknowledge the presence of the various voices within your mind.

These voices might often seem like a cacophony,

Each clamouring for attention.

Without judgement,

Simply observe them.

Notice their tone,

Their urgency and what they're communicating.

Now gently focus on separating the voices,

Identifying one that speaks with negativity or self-doubt.

Instead of pushing it away,

Listen to it with compassion,

As you would listen to a friend in need.

Understand that this voice too is seeking attention and acknowledgement.

Gently shift your focus to a voice that speaks with kindness,

Encouragement and positivity.

It might be quieter,

More subdued.

Give this voice space to grow louder,

To fill your mind with words of support and affirmation.

Recognise this voice as a true friend,

One that wishes the absolute best for you.

Now imagine creating a dialogue between the positive voice and the negative ones.

Let the positive voice address concerns and fears with empathy,

Understanding and encouragement.

Through this internal conversation,

Observe how the negative voices begin to soften,

Their messages transforming into ones of hope and positivity.

Commit to fostering this friendship with your positive inner voice.

Promise to give it more attention in your daily life,

Allowing it to guide you with kindness and compassion.

Visualise this voice becoming a constant supportive presence,

Showering you with encouraging thoughts and positive emotions.

As we conclude this meditation,

Take a moment to appreciate the inner harmony you've cultivated.

The voices within you are diverse,

But by choosing to listen and befriend the ones that uplift and support you,

You create a foundation of inner strength and positivity.

So carry this harmony with you as you gently get ready to fall asleep.

Ready to approach the world tomorrow when you wake with confidence and a sense of inner peace.

Good night and sleep well.
