Inhale slowly through your nose and exhale through your mouth,

As you settle in your chosen position,
Become aware of the physical sensations in your body.
Feel the weight of your body sinking into the mattress.
Allow yourself to be fully present in this moment,
Here in this space,
Where you are safe and supported.
Now I invite you to visualize your bedroom and picture it as a sanctuary of sleep.

Imagine the softness of your bed,
The welcoming embrace of your pillows and blankets.
Feel the gentle coolness of the sheets against your skin.

As you continue to breathe deeply and peacefully,

Now bring your attention to your breath.
Feel the rise and fall of your chest as you breathe in and out.
Pay close attention to the sensation of each breath.
The way your chest expands with the inhalation and contracts with the exhalation.
As you focus on your breath,
