Hello and welcome,
This meditation is about slowing down because sometimes life moves so quickly we forget that speed is not the same as living.
I invite you to find a comfortable place to rest,
Allow your body to settle and with a deep breath in and a long breath out let yourself arrive fully into this moment.
For years I rushed everywhere,
I walked fast,
Talk fast,
Ate fast,
Juggled tasks always preparing for the next thing,
Always doing.
Maybe you know this feeling too,
The constant momentum,
The need to keep going,
Keep pushing and keep achieving.
However recently life has been whispering to me,
Slow down.
Last week a policeman waved at me by a construction site and told me to slow down.
Yesterday as I was leaving my office I heard a woman call out the same words,
Slow down.
I thought she was speaking to me until I noticed her son had run ahead of her in the car park.
I realised this message just keeps finding me,
From friends,
From strangers and from life itself.
When the same message comes from many directions,
Perhaps it's not criticism,
It's care,
It's love,
It's guidance.
So now when I hear the words slow down,
I listen.
Because slowing down is not about losing time,
It's about finding presence.
Take another deep breath here and with the exhale feel yourself softening,
Slowly arriving.
When we slow down something shifts,
We begin to see more clearly.
We notice the details,
The way the light falls,
The sound of the wind and the quiet wisdom inside our own heart.
We remember that life is not meant to be rushed through,
It's meant to be lived.
If you've been moving quickly,
If stress,
Burnout or endless demands have pulled you into constant motion,
Let this be your permission to pause,
To release the pressure to be everywhere do everything for everyone.
Slowing down doesn't make you less,
It helps you return to yourself because in stillness clarity arises,
In quiet moments wisdom appears.
In slowing down we reconnect with our sense of self,
We remember who we are beneath the rushing and beneath the noise.
So right now,
Simply breathe,
Feel the rise and the fall of your breath.
Notice the space between each exhale and inhale.
There is no need to be anywhere else but here,
No need to do anything else but breathe.
And as you rest in this space,
Let the words echo gently within you.
Take one last deep nourishing breath in and a slow steady exhale out.
When you are ready,
Bring a soft smile to your face.
Carry this sense of calm,
Clarity and presence with you as you return to your day.
Remember the gift of slowing down is always available and in that slowing you may just see more than you ever could of at full speed.
Thank you for making the time to share it with me.
Www.
Mooji.
