Good morning,
Welcome to your daily go-to breath work.
Find a comfortable seated posture and we're gonna jump right in.
Wherever you are,
Let's check in with the head over the heart,
Heart over the hips,
Close down the eyes.
Welcome in the day.
Maybe the palms are up to receive or maybe down to feel a bit more grounded.
And check in with the breath,
Check in with the body.
What are we feeling today?
Maybe there's a color.
Texture,
Word.
That describes this very moment.
Feel into your senses.
Feel into the gratitude.
That exists for this new day.
Let's release yesterday's worries with a few cleansing breaths.
Big full inhale in through the nose.
Big sigh out.
This time breathe a little bit more.
And sigh it out.
And start to get familiar with that space right under your nose,
Right above your upper lip.
This will be your anchor that you can return to all day long moving forward.
Any overwhelms.
Any chaos.
A to-do list that gets too long.
You come back to that space right under your nose.
We'll try a round of circular breaths to boost some energy for the day ahead.
You take this at your own pace.
Listen to your body before you listen to mine.
This will look like continuous breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.
You can kind of visualize a circle in the mind as we connect inhale to exhale with no pauses.
We'll be here for just a moment.
It feels good to place your hands on your belly for that mind-body connection.
I always invite you to do so.
So join me,
Circular breathing.
Charging up for the day,
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
Feel that rise and fall,
Inhale to exhale,
Giving and receiving vitality and life itself,
Your breath.
Miracle it is that you are here today in this moment,
Breathing in this body.
Just 30 more seconds,
Maybe visualize the day.
Script it in your mind how you see today going in your favor in the best case scenario.
Maybe there's a lot of action.
Maybe there's a lot of non-action.
However you see it.
We'll get ready to release it in 10,
9,
Keep going,
8,
7,
6,
Bye.
Or.
.
.
Three.
To tuck the chin,
Exhale out,
And hold at the bottom of that breath.
Pause,
Be in that stillness.
Trusting this moment in time,
This chapter of your life.
When you're ready,
Not a moment sooner.
Take a slow,
Beautiful breath in,
Breathing in energy more than just air into every layer and corner of your body.
Take your time filling up,
Receiving.
And hold it all at the top.
Belly pushes out,
Really massaging the digestive tract,
Locking the abs out,
Hold it.
As if you're blowing through a straw,
Maybe even silently,
Exhale all the noise,
Overload,
And pressure away.
Coming back into your neutral and natural breath,
Feel those shifts,
Maybe big,
Maybe subtle.
The lungs hold so much,
The body holds so much.
Back to that space right under your nose,
Your anchor for the day.
And we'll close this out with some extended exhales,
Some really intentional,
Anxiety-reducing breaths.
Anytime we can extend that exhale,
We can reduce some anxiety and stress in the body.
Join me in breathing in through the nose for a count of one,
Two,
Three.
234 hold.
Exhaling nose or mouth for 7,
6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Too.
I'll do that again.
In through the nose,
1,
2,
3.
2.
Three.
Four holes.
7 second exhale 7,
6,
5,
4,
3.
3.
.
.
Too.
One last time,
Try it on your own so you can take it with you later.
Inhaling for four.
Holding briefly at the top.
And releasing for 7,
6,
5,
4,
3.
Three,
Two,
One.
Come back to your neutral breath.
Take this moment to set a clear intention for the day ahead.
And when you're ready to give some thanks to this body,
To this life,
To this breath itself,
Inhale the arms up overhead,
Stretch it tall.
And exhale the arms all the way back down.
Shake it out,
Flutter the eyes open.
And welcome yourself back in to this space.
So glad you started the day with some awareness of your breath.
And until next time,
Thank you for breathing with me.
