This guided meditation invites you to release the pain or suffering others may have caused you; to let go of the past and embrace the healing power of the here and now. Forgiveness is not about them, but about giving yourself the gift of peace and freedom in the present moment. We cannot change the past, but we can always reclaim the present and find that comfort, support, and compassion are always available to help us heal and move forward.

Hello beautiful soul,

And welcome to this guided meditation that will help you let go of any pain or suffering others may have caused you.

Whether it was a small slight yesterday,

Or a deep scar carried for decades,

Let's bring our awareness back to the light that is always within you here today,

So that you can forge your path forwards,

Free from the chains of the past.

I'm so glad you're here,

Dear one.

Get yourself comfortable in whatever position that may feel right for you,

And whenever you're ready,

Gently allow your eyes to close.

Let yourself settle into this space by taking a nice deep breath in,

And a soft slow breath out.

Let yourself settle into this moment by continuing with a nourishing deep breath in,

And a relaxing slow breath out.

Let yourself settle into this moment by continuing with a nourishing deep breath out.

Arrive.

Here.

Let go.

Now.

Be in the here and now.

Let your body relax even more.

Settle in even more.

Surrender even more.

Bring your awareness to how your breath moves in through your nose,

And stay with the awareness as your breath moves out through your nose.

Stay with your awareness.

Invite your awareness to stay here.

No matter how much it may wander back into thought,

Invite it back into the present moment.

Each time you bring it back,

Notice if it comes with any tension,

And with your breath,

Let any tension just fall away.

Notice how your awareness must be in the present moment.

It can be nowhere else,

But notice how your thinking seeks out the past.

It moves constantly,

Everywhere else but here.

That's what it does,

What it was designed to do.

And so,

Without awareness,

That's what we do.

That's who we be.

We be the past.

We be the future.

We be the past,

Forgetting that we are this moment.

So stay here.

Be here.

Let your body and your breath anchor you here.

Let your awareness hold you here.

Softly,

Sweetly,

Tenderly.

There is nothing here but here.

There is nothing here but here.

Notice how much this nothing gives you everything.

Notice how nothing and no thing can take away your awareness in this present moment.

Can take away your breath in this body that lives here,

Right now.

Let this moment give you everything.

And keep breathing into this everything,

Here,

Right now.

Let yourself be so held and so supported here.

It cannot be taken away.

Your thinking may take you away from the present moment,

But the present moment,

No matter how far away you may go,

Is always here for you.

Waiting patiently,

Lovingly,

Non-judgmentally,

Unconditionally.

Here for you.

Here for you.

They are not here unless you invite them to be.

Breathe in again.

Exhale again.

Continue to breathe in fully and exhale softly as you expand yourself further and further into the space around you.

Into the space around you.

Take up space.

Forgiveness isn't about forgiving them.

It's about giving you this moment.

This moment that is here,

Always and only.

For you.

They become irrelevant.

When you give this here and now to yourself,

They become neither here nor there.

When you allow yourself to be the most significant thing in your life,

They become insignificant.

Let this knowing sink in further with each inhale and let any holding to what should have been or what wasn't slip away further with each exhale.

Really take this time here to feel into that sense of this present moment giving to you.

Giving to you.

The here and now being here for you,

Always.

When you give to yourself,

Forgiveness takes care of itself.

There's nothing else you need to do,

Dear one.

Just rest here.

It's here for you.

And then whenever you're ready,

Come back to the room and gently open your eyes.

I hope this meditation helped you connect to the sense that the give in forgiveness has so much more to do with you than it does with them.

Forgiveness work is ongoing,

So do be gentle with yourself and come back to this guidance whenever you need to.

Thank you so much for listening,

Dear one.

Have a beautiful day.
