Welcome to therapy.
This meditation is a rise and shine meditation to practice right before you're ready to get up for the day.
So before you grab your phone to check your messages or go on social media,
Continue lying or sitting down in your bed.
Take a few deep breaths in.
Inhaling.
Exhaling.
Feel the sense of energy you have after hopefully getting a full night's rest.
Breathe into your face,
Bringing energy into your eyes.
Visualize something going well today.
Maybe a meeting you have planned for work.
Maybe it's coffee with a friend.
Whatever it may be,
Feel a sense of joy,
Gratitude,
And excitement for what you have planned in your day.
And if there's nothing you're truly excited about,
See if you can find something positive in your day to look forward to.
Maybe it's your lunch break.
Maybe it'll be after work when you take a walk by the beach.
Either way,
Focus on your breath.
Focus on breathing in new,
Fresh energy of the day into your body.
From your feet all the way up to the crown of your head.
And then let's set an intention for our day.
May I have a day filled with ease.
May I have a day filled with fun.
May I move through the day's challenges with grace.
Take a few more deep breaths in.
And maybe even let your lips form a smile as you appreciate your body,
Your mind,
Your spirit for the opportunity to have this brand new day.
