Hello and welcome to today's meditation.

We'll begin with a soft bell.

Let's get grounded and feel the sense of calm that is over you at this very moment.

We have a new year ahead 2025.

And as we think of what that number represents,

We know that it adds up to the number nine,

The completion of a cycle.

2025 represents new beginnings.

Preparing for new movements.

It represents manifestation.

The balance between dreaming and now doing.

One of the things that came to me while preparing this meditation was the importance of healing,

Particularly as it relates to grief.

I personally have been challenged by grief over the last couple of years.

And one of the things I realized about grief is that it is truly a continuum.

That no one can do it perfectly.

There is no right way to heal.

You need to do it your way.

And no one can tell you how to do it but you.

I have also been confronted with many people near me that have lost a loved one,

A parent,

Pets,

Friends.

And one of the things I realized about grief,

As we look at the new year ahead,

Starting over,

New beginnings,

Healing our way through pain,

Is that grief can be a lesson.

A precious lesson of life.

Grief can be an incredible teacher that teaches us new things,

Sometimes each day.

It can sharpen your character and help to build strength.

Let's just take a deep breath as we take that in.

Take it at your pace.

Breathe deep.

And exhale out of your mouth.

And feel free to do so as much as you want.

Grief can sharpen your character and help to build strength.

One thing I have learned about grief is you cannot compare it to others.

Like they always say,

Comparison is the thief of joy.

Imagine comparing your grief to someone else's.

Compounds pain.

Your healing journey can become someone else's inspiration.

I know that when I recently lost my beautiful 12-year-old dog,

Who I had from the very beginning of time,

Whose name was Juno,

It was very difficult to let him go.

A few weeks after my dog had passed away,

My friend,

Close friend,

Lost two of her dogs.

And much of the comfort I gave myself,

I winded up giving to her as well.

Your healing journey can become someone else's inspiration.

It's almost as if if they can get through it,

So can I.

Let's take a deep breath.

And reset.

Grief can be seen as a mirror,

A reflection of your will to carry on,

Of your strength.

One thing that I recently had undergone was seeing a flock of birds out in the backyard.

And in almost every animal,

I still see my dog.

And that gave me something interesting to think about.

It's about feeling into the added layer of protection that I now have.

It's believing that now my lost one covers me.

And that our souls were meant to know each other in this lifetime and beyond.

Take that in.

Your gentle and honest approach towards grief can be a beautiful opportunity for you.

So as we look at this year ahead,

New beginnings,

Starting a new cycle,

Preparing for new ones,

Manifesting all of what we want in our lives,

And going from dreaming to doing,

I encourage you to take in the magical power of grief.

No one can do it your way.

Take your time with it.

Take a deep breath in.

And exhale.

At this moment,

You're welcome to put your hand across your heart.

And just say to yourself,

And I am never alone.

You got this.
