Welcome,

Dear soul,

To this meditation,

Peace,

Presence,

Oneness.

This is your moment to pause,

To return to presence,

And remember that you are not alone.

You are never separate.

You are part of the great web of life,

Connected with the earth,

The sky,

The trees,

The water.

Connected with all beings,

All time.

You are connected to all that is.

Let this meditation be a soft return to that truth,

A homecoming to the one.

If you haven't already,

Get yourself really comfortable,

Seated or laying down.

Allow your body just to feel safe and supported.

Let your hands rest gently,

Perhaps one over your heart and one over your belly.

Let your eyes soften or close completely.

Let your breath begin to arrive naturally,

Breathing with awareness.

Your breath,

Your living anchor to the now.

Breathing in,

I know I am breathing.

Breathing out,

I know I am breathing out.

Breathing in,

I arrive.

Breathing out,

I am home.

Let your breath become the doorway to presence.

Feel the gentle expansion and release.

Feel how each breath touches every cell in your body.

There is nowhere to get to.

There is nothing to achieve.

Just this breath,

Just this moment.

Now imagine a beautiful green forest.

You are walking barefoot upon the earth.

The ground is soft,

Nourishing.

The sun flitters gently through the canopy of the trees.

Birds are singing.

A breeze brushes your skin.

In this moment,

Feel the sacredness of life pulsing all around you.

Feel the sacredness of life pulsing within you.

You pause beneath a great tree.

Its roots stretch far beneath the earth,

Touching the roots of other trees.

You sense that this tree is not alone,

Just as you are not alone.

You place your hand gently on its bark and feel it,

Not separate from you,

But part of you.

The same breath that moves through your lungs moves through the leaves of the tree.

The same water that nourishes the tree flows through your veins.

The sun that shines upon the forest also shines upon you.

Mother Earth that holds the tree also holds you.

You are not just a person walking in a forest.

You are the forest.

You are the tree.

You are the sky.

You are the river.

There is no boundary here.

You are interconnected with everything.

Here there is no separate self,

Only the whole.

Only the great unfolding of life.

Let yourself rest in this awareness for a few moments.

Now gently bring your awareness back to the body.

Feel your breath again,

Flowing in and flowing out.

Whisper to yourself,

Breathing in,

I see that I am made of the earth.

Breathing out,

I smile with gratitude.

Breathing in,

I touch the presence of my ancestors.

Breathing out,

I honor their journey in mine.

Breathing in,

I feel love within me.

Breathing out,

I send love to all beings.

Feel the truth that every breath connects you to all of existence.

The rain that fell hundreds of years ago is the water you drink.

The light of stars millions of years away is reflected in your eyes.

The breath you take now will be breathed by another.

You are a thread in the great fabric of life,

And you are held.

When you're ready,

Begin to bring your awareness gently back to this space.

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Feel your body resting in the here and now.

Place both hands over your heart.

Take a final deep breath in through the nose,

And soft long exhale through your mouth.

Now repeat inwardly or aloud,

I am connected with all that is.

I am held by life.

I am never alone.

Carry this truth into your day.

Move gently,

Speak kindly,

And live in remembrance of your oneness with all other beings.

The earth,

The trees,

The sky,

The stars,

They are not outside of you,

They are you.

May you walk in peace,

May you walk in presence,

May you walk in oneness.
