Welcome.
If you wake up and your mind immediately starts making lists.
If you already feel behind before the day has even begun.
This practice is for you.
You don't need to clear your mind or become perfectly focused.
For the next few minutes,
We're simply creating a gentle beginning.
A chance to meet yourself with kindness.
And remember that you only have to take the next step.
Before we begin,
I want you to know that there is nothing you need to get right here.
You don't have to stop your thoughts.
You don't have to sit perfectly still.
And if your mind wanders or starts planning the day ahead,
That's okay.
You can simply notice it.
And gently come back.
Take a slow breath in.
And let it go.
One more easy breath in.
Feel the support beneath you.
The bed,
The chair,
The floor beneath your feet.
Notice that for just this moment.
You don't have to hold everything together.
You can let yourself be supported.
Now notice what your mind is doing.
Maybe it's already making lists,
Thinking about work.
Remembering something you forgot.
Worrying that you'll fall behind.
Or trying to plan out the whole day before it's even started.
If that's happening.
There's nothing wrong with you.
Many ADHD minds wake up already moving.
Already sorting,
Planning,
Anticipating,
And preparing.
Your brain isn't trying to make your life harder.
Is trying to help in the way that it knows best.
See if you can imagine the busy part of you for just a moment.
The part that wants to make sure nothing gets missed.
The part that worries you might forget,
Disappoint someone,
Or drop the ball.
We don't have to make that part go away.
Just quietly let it know.
I know you're trying to help.
Thank you for working so hard.
You don't have to carry the whole day right now.
Take another slow breath.
And as you breathe out.
Imagine setting down the pressure to figure everything out at once.
You don't have to solve this afternoon's problems before breakfast.
You're not going to finish your entire to-do list before your feet hit the floor.
You don't have to carry all of the hours in today in this one moment.
Right now,
You only have to take the next step.
Allow that thought to settle.
I only have to take the next step.
Maybe the next step is getting out of bed.
Maybe it's making coffee or tea.
Maybe it's setting down your phone.
Feeding the dog.
Or taking a shower.
Whatever it is.
You only need to do that one thing.
You only have to begin.
Take one more deep breath in.
And slowly let it go.
As you move into your day,
I want to leave you with this gentle reminder.
You are not falling behind.
You are not failing.
You do not need to do all of this perfectly.
You are simply beginning from where you are today.
And that's enough.
Take a moment to check in with yourself.
I wonder if there's anything you need today.
Even in the middle of a busy life and a busy mind.
You chose to pause here.
You chose to check in with yourself before the world asked anything of you.
That small act of kindness matters.
I hope you'll carry this feeling with you today.
And if you need the reminder tomorrow.
This practice will be right here waiting for you.
I'd love it if you'd follow my channel to make sure you can always come back to it whenever you need it.
And I would also love to hear what one task is going to get you moving right now.
I read every single comment.
And it's so helpful for the community to see all of us practicing together.
Take care.
