Welcome to Be With Melinda.
This is a moment to simply be here as you are.
Receiving love can feel more vulnerable than giving it.
For the next few minutes,
You're invited to rest and allow what is already present.
Find a comfortable position,
Sitting or lying down,
And gently close your eyes.
Notice your breath as it moves in and out.
With each exhale,
Allow your body to settle.
Feeling the weight of your body being supported by the surface beneath you.
And let gravity do the work.
Bring awareness to your chest and heart area.
Noticing the natural rhythm of your breath and the subtle movement of your body.
Now bring to mind someone or something that is easy for you to care about.
A person,
An animal,
Or even a place in nature.
Notice how naturally warmth or care arises,
Without effort or expectation.
Feel where that sense of care lives in your body and breathe into it for a few breaths.
Gently return your attention to yourself and notice that this capacity for love arose from within you.
Say silently to yourself,
I give myself permission to receive love and pause.
As you continue breathing,
Allow these words to land slowly.
I deserve to be loved.
I deserve love that is steady and consistent,
Kind and patient,
And a love that puts my mind at ease.
I deserve love that is grounded and secure,
Even when I'm imperfect.
I deserve to be loved.
Notice how your body feels now.
There may be softness,
Warmth,
Or simply more space.
Love does not need to rush.
It can be quiet and steady.
Before closing,
Gently ask yourself,
What one small loving choice you could make for yourself next,
Without needing to answer right away.
Begin to bring awareness back to the room.
Feel the surface beneath you.
Notice the sounds around you.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
And remember this,
Love is not something you chase.
It's something you learn to receive.
Many blessings on your love journey and thank you for practicing with me today.
