Close your eyes and take a big deep breath in and slowly let it out.

Let's do that again,

Breathing in and breathing out,

Feeling calm and peaceful.

Now place your hands gently in your lap or on your heart.

Can you feel them resting there?

Maybe they feel warm or tingly or just soft and gentle.

That's because inside your hands you have something very special,

Reike energy.

Reike is a beautiful kind of energy that flows inside of you and all around you.

Some people call it Qi or life force energy.

It is the same energy that makes the trees grow and the sun shine and your heart beat with love.

This energy is always inside of you,

Glowing like a little light and guess what?

You can use it to send love,

Kindness and healing to yourself,

To others and even to the whole world.

Let's wake up your Reike energy together and learn how to share it with love.

Let's gently rub our hands together,

Very slowly like you're warming them up.

Can you feel them gently getting warmer?

Maybe you feel a soft tingling or a little buzzing between your fingers.

That's your Reike energy waking up.

Imagine a soft golden light glowing in your hands.

This is your own healing energy full of love.

Let's place our hands over our heart and say some kind words to ourselves.

Please repeat after me.

I am full of love and light.

I am strong,

Kind and happy.

I am safe and I am loved.

As your hands rest on your heart,

Feel this warm glowing energy filling your whole body like a cozy hug.

Your hands are magical and they hold the power of love,

Kindness and healing.

Now imagine someone you love,

Maybe a family member or a friend or even a pet.

Picture them standing in front of you smiling.

Hold out your glowing hands and imagine sending them a big warm hug made of rainbow light.

Watch the light wrap around them,

Making them feel safe,

Happy and full of love.

Now let's say some kind words for them.

Repeat after me.

I send you love and happiness.

I hope you feel safe and strong.

I share my light with you.

Good.

Take a deep breath and know that your love has reached them,

Even if they are far away.

Next,

Let us stretch our magic even further.

Imagine you are floating above the earth,

Looking down at all the trees,

The oceans,

Animals and people.

The world needs love too.

Hold out your glowing hands once more and imagine sending golden light all around the earth,

Like a giant warm hug.

Watch the light touch the trees,

Making them strong.

Touching the oceans and making them clean and all the people and filling them with kindness and peace.

Let's say some kind words for the world too.

Repeat after me.

I send love to the whole earth.

May all people feel happy and safe.

May all animals be loved and cared for.

May the air,

Water and land be clean and full of life.

Take a deep breath and feel your light spreading all around,

Making the whole world a little brighter.

Let's remember five special promises we can make to ourselves every day.

These are called the five Reiki principles and they help us to stay happy and kind.

One.

Just for today,

I will be happy.

Happiness comes from inside me.

Two.

Just for today,

I will be kind.

I can share kindness with everyone.

Three.

Just for today,

I will be peaceful.

Take deep breaths and I can stay calm.

Four.

Just for today,

I will be thankful.

I am grateful for all good things in my life.

Five.

Just for today,

I will do my best.

I will try my hardest and that is enough.

These little promises help us to feel happy,

Loving and strong.

If we ever feel upset,

We can take a deep breath,

Rub our hands together and remember these words.

Just for today,

I will be happy.

I will be kind.

I will be peaceful.

I will be thankful.

I will do my best.

Now,

Take one last deep breath in and out.

Imagine all the love and light we share today staying in your heart,

Keeping you warm,

Safe and happy.

When you are ready,

Wiggle your fingers,

Wiggle your toes and gently open your eyes,

Knowing you are full of love and light.
