Wherever you are,
Stop for a moment.
You do not have to go anywhere.
Close your eyes if you can and let your hands rest.
Let your feet rest flat on the floor.
The day has been loud.
Meetings,
Messages,
A hundred small demands.
For the next three minutes,
None of them need you.
Let your shoulders drop.
Breathing slowly and out even slower.
You have been living in your head all day.
Come back down into your body.
Feel the weight of you in the chair.
Feel your back against it.
Feel the air moving in and out of your nose.
And clench your jaw.
Soften your forehead.
Let the breath get slower on its own.
The way it does when nothing is chasing you.
Now picture in your mind the way it has been all day.
A screen full of open tabs Emails have answered.
The conversations have finished.
Worries looping.
One by one,
Close them,
Not forever,
Just for now.
Each one will wait.
Nothing on that screen is on fire.
Watch the screen empty until there is room to think again.
In the quiet that is left,
Ask one question.
What is the one thing that matters most in the rest of this day?
See it clearly?
See yourself starting it calmly.
First step first.
That is where your energy goes when you open your eyes.
Everything else can line up behind it.
Take one more slow breath in.
And let it all the way out.
Notice the difference.
The noise is still out there.
But it is not in charge anymore.
You are.
Open your eyes.
One thing,
One step.
You have regained your focus.
