Welcome to the savoring your best moment in life meditation.
I'm Dr.
Colleen Pearson,
The eclectic psychologist.
To begin this meditation,
I would like to invite you to sit comfortably.
Adjust your posture so you're sitting in any upright position with your spine straight.
Allow your eyes to close,
Relax your shoulders,
Soften your jaw,
And let go of any tension in your body.
Take a couple of deep,
Full inhales and exhale fully,
Releasing all of the air from your lungs.
Inhale fresh oxygen and exhale fully.
Do that a few more times.
Now focus your awareness on your breath.
Use your breath as an anchor to your awareness,
Pulling your awareness again and again to the experience of breathing.
As you inhale,
Allow your awareness to follow your breath,
Moving into your body.
As you exhale,
Allow your body to relax.
Inhale awareness,
Exhale relaxation.
As you inhale,
Feel the air coming in touch with your nostrils,
Nose,
Throat,
Chest,
And lungs.
And as you exhale,
Soften your body,
Soften your muscles.
If you find your mind wandering,
Simply notice that it has wandered.
Let the thoughts go and gently bring your mind back to the breath.
Now choose the best moment in your life,
Something that happened and had a wonderfully positive impact on you and your life.
It could be anything that ever happened to you.
Take your time in finding that best moment and then visualize it as vividly as you can,
Bringing every bit of your attention to the people or scenario involved with your best moment in life.
Being focused on that experience,
Allowing yourself to be emerged in that special moment,
Engaging with it as fully as you can.
Gradually I invite you to let go of engaging with that moment and move your awareness into your body.
How does it feel now?
What emotions are triggered?
Allow yourself to simply feel whatever is moving within you.
What sensations can you feel in your body?
Bring your full attention to an area in your body where the sensation is strongest.
You can use your breath as a vehicle to go there.
Take a minute to imprint in your consciousness the memory of the emotions and body sensations that are triggered within you when you remember that moment.
And anytime you want to return here,
Just remember that moment and those sensations.
I invite you now to deepen your breath,
Bring your awareness to your whole body,
Feel the environment around you and the sound of my voice.
Take as much time as you want and when you feel ready,
You can slowly open your eyes.
