Hola!
Greetings from Lagoa Titlán,
Guatemala.
This is Anjali and Alok.
And today we're going to bring you a beautiful practice of connected breath that Alok and I have been working together with for the last several years.
And this is a way that's really supported us to co-regulate our nervous systems.
So if we're feeling a little bit out of connection or that it's time to really develop that intimacy again together,
This is a beautiful way to come back into that space.
So it's part of our embody love practice that we've been developing over the years,
Which involves some breath work,
Some movement,
And massage together.
So this is usually the beginning of that connection piece.
And you know,
Whenever you felt like you're missing that connection with your partner,
It's been a while that you've felt your partner's presence,
This is a great way to just connect really quickly.
So we'll start knee to knee.
And always having a cushion to sit on helps a lot.
And finding a nice tall spine,
Just connect with your partner's beautiful gaze.
And then we'll start by just bringing the fingertips together here in the middle.
So bring your other hand,
Your left hand to your heart,
And just breathing into the heart center.
Feel this loving kindness emanating from your own heart,
Moving down your right arm into your partner's hand through that place of connection.
And this practice of breath work together is also a practice of loving kindness and sharing love from your heart.
So if you close down the eyes,
Open them again here,
Release your left hand down.
And so as we move toward the heart,
They will inhale,
And as we move away,
They will exhale.
So it's very simple.
So first we'll start toward the feminine heart as they inhale.
And as she exhales,
I'm going to inhale,
And you'll move the hands toward your heart.
So very simple,
Keep the breath long,
Slow,
And deep.
Your eyes can be open or closed,
Whatever feels right for you and your partner.
You can always let out a sigh or any audible sounds on your exhale,
Going back and forth,
Slowing it down.
Really feel like you're sending love to your partner from your heart and then receiving love from their heart.
Ending at the man's heart.
And then placing your right hand on your heart and your left hand on top of their hand,
Just feeling,
Again,
This connection.
And let's just do one ha breath together to finish this practice.
So deep breath in,
And just bring your palms together at your heart and bow in.
You can touch foreheads if that feels good.
So just noticing how different you feel from the beginning of this practice,
And of course you can extend that out as long as you'd like.
And the idea here is to just find this beautiful connection through the breath and not to really find any faults in that,
Just really feeling from the heart you're sending love to your partner.
Make it simple,
Enjoy it,
Stay in the present moment,
And we'll see you again soon.
