Welcome to this coherent breathing and grounding practice.

My name is Alok and I'm happy to guide you through this practice that will quiet your mind,

Shift your body into a healing and restorative mode where you will experience greater clarity,

Emotional balance,

And resilience.

Begin by finding a comfortable position either seated with your spine upright or lying down with a pillow under your knees.

Gently allow your eyes to close.

Place one hand on your heart,

The other on your belly.

Exhale all the air out and take a nice slow breath through your nose,

Filling the lungs,

And letting the sigh out as you exhale.

Let's do that again.

Deep full breath.

Feel the belly rise,

The chest expand,

Then letting out the sigh.

Ah.

Feel gratitude filling every cell of your body.

Let your breath begin to soften and slow down.

Inhale for a count of five.

And exhale for a count of five.

Stay with this rhythm.

This is coherent breathing.

Practice of tuning the breath to a gentle,

Even rhythm.

As we breathe like this,

We begin to attune to something very ancient,

The rhythm of life itself.

The breath,

The heartbeat,

Always there.

I'll take a moment to bring your attention to the beating of your heart.

You might feel it beneath your hand or sense it like a soft drum inside of you.

You might feel it beneath your hand or sense it like a soft drum inside of you.

Offer a moment of gratitude for this rhythm that never asks for anything and yet sustains you each day.

Inhale for a count of five.

Exhale for a count of five.

With each breath,

Invite your awareness to settle deeper into the body.

Let your attention rest on the wave of breath like watching the ocean tides move in.

As your awareness anchors to the breath and the heart,

The mind begins to soften.

Thoughts may arise.

Just let them float by like leaves on the stream.

Just observing,

Becoming that witness.

You are not your thoughts.

You are the instrument breath is playing.

You are presence itself.

In this precious moment,

You are safe.

You are held.

Open your jaw.

Yawn.

Then bend your knees.

Bring your knees into your chest.

Give yourself a nice hug of gratitude.

Eventually roll over to your side.

Opening your eyes when you feel ready and carry this rhythm with you into the rest of your day.

It's an honor to guide you through this practice.

Again,

My name is Alok.

Have a beautiful day.
