Hello and welcome to this guided visualization meditation designed to help you get to a place within yourself and uncover anything that has been causing resistance within your own system.
And so let's begin by taking a moment to really settle into the body.
Taking a few nice conscious deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
And in through the nose and out through the mouth.
And feel free to make any sighs or sounds on the out breath if you feel anything needs to be released vocally.
In through the nose and sigh it out.
And just witness how your energy shifts into the body,
Settling in perhaps some different areas.
And let's just do a nice body scan to really check in with how we're doing.
And so I want you to imagine that there's this beautiful bright shining light,
It can be any color,
Any shape,
Any size.
Just hovering above your head,
The crown of your head.
And as you focus on this light,
Just notice how it drops down onto the top of your head and it spreads across your forehead,
The back of your head,
Down your face,
Over your ears,
And to your jaw.
And it continues down through your neck,
The front and the back of the neck,
Spreading across the shoulders and moving down the arms,
The chest,
The back.
Spreading down to the forearms and the hands,
The tips of the fingers.
Moving down through your torso to your abdomen,
Your lower back,
Your pelvic region.
Spreading now over your glutes,
Down your legs,
Over your thighs,
Your hamstrings,
To the knees,
And gradually easing down through the calves and the shins,
To the ankles,
And through the feet,
To the toes,
To the very tips of the toes.
And I want you to imagine now that wherever your feet are planted,
Whether they're firmly on the floor,
On the ground,
Or if you're laying down,
Then whatever you're laying on,
Just notice which parts of the feet have made contact with the surface beneath you.
And with this awareness,
I want you to imagine that you have roots growing from your feet,
Deep nourishing roots that are spreading and growing deep down into the earth beneath.
Strong foundational roots anchoring you with the earth.
Now I want you to bring to mind a place where you have felt safe and nourished and held.
It could be a place that you know,
Somewhere that you've been,
Or it could be a place in your imagination,
Somewhere that feels inviting,
That feels safe and warm,
Where you feel held.
It could be outside,
It could be on a beach,
It could be in nature,
It could be in a forest,
A field,
By a waterfall,
Or it could simply be your bedroom or somewhere inside,
Somewhere that you retreat to,
That makes you feel peaceful and at ease.
And as you found this beautiful place to sit or lie down,
Or even to walk around,
Whatever feels right for you,
I want you to imagine what it is that you can see all around you.
What can you see?
And as you're observing all the sights around you,
Tap into what sounds can you hear?
Are there any sounds?
Perhaps it's silence.
Trust that whatever is coming up for you is absolutely perfect.
And now perhaps explore the textures of anything that's around you.
Is anything attracting your attention that you could perhaps go and explore a bit further?
Notice how peaceful all of these things are making you feel.
Is there anything there for you to taste?
Are there any drinks nearby?
Any food?
Anything at all that you can taste in your mouth?
And with taste,
Is there anything that you can smell?
Any beautiful,
Comforting,
Perhaps familiar smells that again just let you know how safe and held you are in this beautiful space,
Your sanctuary.
And always with a mind of trusting that whatever is coming up for you right now is absolutely perfect.
And if nothing is coming up for you,
That's perfect too.
And whilst you're in this space,
Just gently invite your attention to connect with how you're feeling in your body again.
Are there any parts of you that are resisting this experience?
Any parts of you that you could gently invite to join the rest of you here in this place of peace and tranquility?
And as you settle deeper into this experience,
Perhaps bring to mind an intention,
A dream,
A wish,
A goal.
Something that you wish to bring into existence within your reality.
It could be something tiny,
Something simple or it could be something bigger.
Whatever is coming up for you right now,
Just trust it.
And again,
Give yourself permission if nothing is coming up for you right now.
Permission to accept that that is okay.
This exercise is designed to solidify that trust within ourselves.
And to tap into the present moment,
What the body needs,
What the soul needs,
What the mind may need.
There is no right or wrong with this.
And so I'm going to give you some time now to sit with whatever is coming up for you.
Take some time now to gently explore it.
Okay.
It's time now to return to the present moment if you wish.
Or if you prefer,
You can stay in this space for as long as you need.
What I would like to invite you to do is to reconnect with those roots from your feet growing into the earth.
Just gently ask for some guidance from Mother Earth.
If she could feed you some inspiration,
Some nourishment,
Some energy perhaps up through the roots and into your body and your soul.
If there's any guidance that you need,
Feel free to ask her right now.
And now taking some conscious breaths into the body.
Deep breath in through the nose.
And out through the mouth.
And if you wish to come out of this meditation now,
Then just gently start wiggling your fingers and toes.
Bringing some awareness back into the present moment,
Into the space that you're currently in.
Gently bob your head and maybe do some neck rolls or have a stretch.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
