Dial up your morning with a shape of emotion.

Good morning.

In this meditation we are going to dial up an emotional state that will be in support of your day.

It is a kick start to get you going,

To give you energy and resilience to have the best day you can.

Settle into a comfortable and alert position.

Sitting upright even if you are tired and do not feel like it.

Your body and how it is held frames your emotional state and if you are feeling down,

By sitting upright you can trick your system into feeling more up.

Close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and sigh it out of your mouth.

And again in through your nose and out of your mouth.

Now bring your attention to the environment around you.

Notice the temperature of the air.

The sounds you can hear.

Are there any scents you can smell?

Bring your attention to your body.

Notice how it is positioned.

How your feet are placed.

Your legs and hips.

Notice the heaviness of your body and how your spine is holding up your torso.

Open your chest.

Drop your shoulders.

Bend your neck slightly and unclench your jaw.

Allow your breath to flow in to the bottom of your lungs and out again.

How would you like to feel today?

What would best support you to have the best day for you?

It may be something like an energy that motivates or a lightness that comes with being at peace.

Or a certain confidence that you will be able to face any challenges today.

Do you know what it is for you?

Can you access this feeling?

You may need to source a memory of a time when you did feel this way.

Or you may want to imagine a situation that elicits this feeling.

I invite you to do that now.

I invite you to feel that feeling now.

Do you feel it?

Notice where in or around your body this feeling shows up for you.

Mindfully,

Consciously and with curiosity,

Go inwards and observe this feeling.

What does it look like,

This feeling?

Can you notice any colours?

Is there a shape or a form?

Do you have a sense of its size?

Does it have a weight?

A texture?

Maybe a temperature?

What about a scent,

A taste,

A sound?

Is it still or moving?

As you observe this shape or form,

Allow it to grow and fill your senses.

The colours growing brighter and more vibrant,

The scent more intoxicating,

The sound deeper and fuller,

The taste sweeter.

From the inside allow this shape to swell out,

Filling every pore,

Running through every vein,

Permeating every cell,

Saturating every molecule.

As it fills your every inside,

Allow it to flow out to form a pulsing shape around you until you are it and it is you.

Sit present,

Focused,

Still in the middle of this shape.

Feel the vibration,

The energy getting stronger and stronger.

Feel it.

Acknowledge it.

Accept it.

Allow it to be.

Now you are going to bring it back to size and intensity that is in support of you and your day ahead.

Slowly and consciously allow the body to naturally dial down the intensity,

To minimise it to a size that is comfortable for you,

Pulsing somewhere in your body.

Place a hand on or near that part of the body to anchor it,

There for you for the rest of the day.

You can return to it at any time to dial it up whenever you feel the need for a momentary boost.

Give thanks for the job it is going to do for you for the rest of the day.

Now it is time to reconnect back to your immediate environment.

Notice where you are sitting,

The temperature of the air,

The sounds and scents.

Take one more deep breath in and sigh it out.

Now move your body,

Stretch your limbs and open your eyes.

You are ready for your day.
