
24 Minute Rainbow Relaxation For Birthing Families
The Rainbow Relaxation meditation is intended for expectant and new parents. By listening to this guided meditation as frequently as possible you will condition your mind and body to relax down quickly and easily for your birthing day and parenting. Many reports that they quickly notice how they are able to relax down, and quiet their mind after listening. Rainbows are often seen across the sky after the rain appears in the shape of a bow or arc, hence the name rainbow.

It may help to condition your minds and your bodies to relax quickly and easily for their birthing day and parenting.
Many parents report that they quickly notice how they are able to relax down,
Quieting their mind after only listening for a few days.
The advantages and results over many weeks are actually astounding.
Advantages of relaxing down quickly is important.
There is so much more to this relaxation than just conditioning the mind and body.
The rainbow relaxation is symbolically accessing our subtle energy,
Body by the chakras.
Chakras are spinning vortexes of energy located inside the spine and they spin in a clockwise direction.
You can visualize this as our breath moves through our bodies and our bodies are made of 80% water or rain and our inner light,
The sun,
Creating the rainbow within.
Mythically the rainbow is viewed as a gift from the universe or creator.
And so we can also interpret the rainbow in this guided meditation as a gift.
As a gift to the mother,
The father,
Co-creators of their unborn child.
And when babies begin to move in the womb,
This is when the throat chakra becomes active.
And it is how babies communicate to their parents.
Let's start with this guided meditation focusing on your breath.
Calm breathing,
Yoga breath,
Sleep breath,
Whatever you'd like to call it,
Is to help the birthing parent condition themselves to slip into relaxation.
Between surges in labor and maintain a state of relaxation.
The script can also be given to the birth companion so they can practice together.
Conditioning to go into a deeper trance,
Going within,
And hearing the partner's voice.
So I'd like you to take a slow inhale now to the count of four and pause.
Slowly exhale to the count of eight.
If possible,
Keeping your mouth closed and allowing your breath to drift.
Allow it to drift into the chest,
Stomach,
And through your body.
And continue with this breath awareness.
It's time to relax,
Making yourselves comfortable and allowing your eyelids to gently close.
And taking that deep breath now,
Slowly allowing that breath to drift down through your entire body,
Bringing you comfort and relaxation.
Once more,
Take in a deep breath and let that breath flow down through your chest,
Your stomach,
Your abdomen,
Your legs,
All the way down to the soles of your feet.
And as you begin to feel that soft tingling,
That tingling of relaxation on the soles of your feet,
You release in both mind and body.
Each time that you practice,
You're going to find you're going to go more immediately,
More rapidly,
More soundly,
Soundly into this wonderful place where you will be aware of how deeply relaxed and comfortable you are.
Each time you will achieve this wonderful state in a shorter amount of time.
Each time you practice,
You'll be able to go deeper and deeper into ultimate relaxation.
This is the kind of relaxation you will use when you give birth to your beautiful,
Vibrant,
Healthy baby.
Once again now,
Return your awareness to your eyes.
Just feel how comfortable it is to just allow your eyes to remain closed.
And you become aware that it seems now that all the little muscles in and around your eyes become more and more relaxed.
Your eyelids seem to close even more thoroughly,
And as your eyes close even more tightly,
All the little worry lines around your eyes,
Across your forehead,
They all begin to fade and disappear.
As the same quality of relaxation drifts down around your cheeks,
In your mouth,
And the rest of your facial muscles now release,
They release and become loose and limp.
And you go deeper.
As you bring yourselves deeper into total comfort,
Allow all tension in your jaw to just melt down and away.
I'd like you to now softly rest your tongue behind your front upper teeth.
And as you do,
Your lower jaw becomes comfortably relaxed.
And a wonderful sense of well-being settles into every muscle,
Every cell,
Every nerve within your face,
In your jaw,
And your neck.
Your mind releases,
And your body releases,
And you go twice as deeply into relaxation.
The relaxation now drifts down to your shoulders,
And you give yourselves permission to allow your shoulders to sink into the frame of your body.
As your shoulders go loose and limp,
Your arms,
Your elbows,
Your wrists,
And your hands follow,
Becoming loose and limp.
Your entire upper body now becomes perfectly relaxed,
And you continue to go deeper,
Releasing all tension from your chest now,
From your heart,
From your stomach.
Feel your body respond to this beautiful,
Slow,
Comfortable breathing,
And you double your relaxation and go deeper.
Your entire body now is free of tension.
These thoughts are reassuring as you give yourselves permission now to double your relaxation once more.
And your body now is totally loose,
Totally limp,
As though you were a marinette with all the strings released.
Totally loose,
Totally limp,
And you go deeper.
Now allowing your abdomen and your lower pelvic area to totally relax.
It's so essential that this part of your body remain free of tension.
And so,
You relax all the tension in your pelvis,
And you let it melt down,
Down past your legs and your feet.
Down,
Down into the ground,
Just the way the soft spring rain melts into the earth.
On occasion,
As you listen to this script and you are entering into a deep level of relaxation,
You may be aware of sounds around you.
But from this moment on,
Though you may be aware of sounds,
You won't be affected by them.
Sounds won't disturb you or interrupt your relaxation.
In fact,
You may actually use any sounds that you hear to deepen your level of relaxation.
As you will,
You will hear noises and sounds when you're giving birth to your beautiful baby.
And now,
In this perfectly relaxed state,
To assist you as you move even deeper,
Deeper into relaxation,
I'd like you to picture or imagine a magnificent rainbow.
A rainbow with each of the colours vibrating in harmony with the life energy.
That life energy that was within your body.
You're going to allow your body now to absorb,
As though it were a magnet,
All of the wonderful energy of the rainbow.
And you're going to let that soft mist,
The mist of each of the colours of the rainbow permeate your entire body.
Bringing you confidence,
Bringing you assurance,
Drawing away all tension,
Leaving you calm and at peace.
And you go deeper,
Deeper still.
Picture yourself now on a bed of mist,
A soft strawberry red mist that gently envelops your lower torso,
Taking away all tension.
Bathing you in a soft,
Gentle relaxation.
And you're going to let this red mist of perfect relaxation drift all around your body.
Bringing your mind and your body deeper and deeper,
Leaving you in a soft,
Comfortable relaxation.
And now,
Your body begins to feel more relaxed.
You are so comfortable that it hardly seems to be there at all.
You are in tune with nature,
And all nature is in tune with the colour of red.
When you breathe in,
You breathe in that red mist that gently wraps your body in a soft blanket of natural relaxation.
And you go deeper.
Now,
In your mind's eye or imagination,
I'd like you to see yourselves on a mist of soft,
Almost peach-like orange.
You and your body are in harmony with the colour of orange,
And your abdomen,
It totally relaxes.
Because your abdomen vibrates to the colour of orange,
And you draw that orange mist in,
And through your abdomen you feel it.
It's like a sponge,
Absorbing and releasing all tension,
Bathing you in a soft mist of peace,
Of relaxation,
And comfort.
And so every muscle,
Every nerve,
Every cell that's within your abdomen,
Relaxes.
While the soft orange mist flows through your entire abdomen and your pelvis.
And you go deeper still.
Now,
See yourself in your mind's eye or imagination on a yellow mist.
A yellow mist of natural relaxation.
You are in harmony with the colour of yellow,
And the middle portion of your body becomes calm,
And it becomes peaceful.
Because the middle portion of your body vibrates to the colour of yellow.
And when you breathe in,
You breathe in that soft yellow mist of calm with each and every slow breath that you take.
Let it flow,
Let it drift throughout your being.
Your body,
Your mind,
Are all in harmony as they prepare to work together for your well-being.
Your body is at peace as the yellow mist of natural relaxant envelops and soothes you.
Breathe in.
Breathe in that yellow mist as it bathes you in a sea of calm.
And you go deeper.
Picture yourselves now on a mist of green,
A soft green colour of lime.
As you breathe in that soft green mist,
The entire area of your chest,
And particularly your heart,
Relax more deeply than you've ever relaxed before.
With that green mist,
You open your heart,
You open your life to even greater love.
Because your chest and your heart vibrate to the colour of green.
You feel even more filled with peace and love.
Feel the soothing sensation drift all around you.
Green is the colour of spring and birth,
And the earth gives forth life in the spring.
And so,
Your body gives forth new beginnings.
Filled with the energy of a calm and loving heart,
Free your body to blend in with perfect harmony with green.

Feel the green mist surrounding your body like a soft,
Warm shot.

Picture yourselves on a mist of greyish blue,
The colour of blueberries.
And feel your throat,
Feel your neck relax.
The throat and the neck vibrate to the colour of blue.
And so,
When you breathe in,
You breathe in that blue mist and feel all tension in the area of your neck.
And throat melts away.
Your body is at peace as the blue mist calms and soothes it.
Your mind,
Your muscles,
They all continue to align in perfect harmony with nature.
Feel a wonderful sense of peace envelop every cell,
Every muscle,
And feel it quiet and calm your thoughts.
Now,
See beneath you a beautiful mist of soft violet and pink.
A soft combination that puts your mind at ease because your mind vibrates to the colour of violet.
Sense the gentle,
Confident thoughts that begin to fill your mind as the mist of violet helps you to trust and totally release any doubts you may have.
Your mind is filled with confidence.
Your mind is filled with calm.
All of nature is in tune with violet.
And you are in tune with nature as you fill your mind with a sense of joy and anticipation.

Go deeper into ultimate relaxation as you turn your mind and your body over to your inner essence.
