Transcript

The priestly benediction has been used continuously for thousands of years as a means of blessing.

Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Sperling taught that the Kohanim blessed the people that love and affection might dwell among them.

Then they might be a fitting receptacle for blessing.

If love dwells among them,

Then that choice is correct and well-established,

For then they are an appropriate vessel for blessing.

In our mindful moment today,

We'll combine that blessing with loving-kindness practice.

Rest your eyes,

Relaxing body and breath.

May you be blessed with safety.

May you be blessed with expansiveness.

May you be blessed with peace.

May you be blessed with safety.

May you be blessed with expansiveness.

May you be blessed with peace.
