Oneness.

Feeling connected.

Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down for this meditation.

A meditation that takes you through a journey of ideas,

Of how you connect to the world around you.

But first of all taking your time to focus in on your body just for a moment.

Noticing where your body is supported.

Notice,

Noticing how your body feels.

Feeling the support.

And letting the muscles relax.

Easing any tension out of the muscles because they are supported.

You can allow the tension to flow out,

To flow down and away.

Being in your body,

Aware of your body.

And now,

And now aware of your breath.

Focus in on the breath.

Aware of the breath in and out.

Aware of the gentle flow of the air in and out of your body.

Following the air on its journey.

Aware too now that that air is touching your body,

Brushing against your body.

Maybe just the skin on your face will sense it,

Your hands.

Or you may be aware of the air touching your skin elsewhere.

Wherever you can feel the air,

Is that air cool?

Is that air warm?

Just giving yourself the time to notice the air as it brushes against your skin and as it flows in and out of your body.

This life-giving air,

This life-giving air.

The air we share with all the people on this earth,

Connecting us all as we breathe.

Connected to each other.

And the animals that we share this air with too.

The air that sways the trees.

Creating that rustling sound in the leaves.

That familiar rustling sound and the air that carries the seeds on the breeze towards their new beginnings.

The air that creates the breeze that rides with the waves as they crash upon the shore.

Perhaps stirring up these waves,

Driving them harder onto the shore.

This air that unites us all.

And right now,

Right now it's nourishing you.

And it's nourishing your loved ones too.

Your friends.

Your acquaintances.

The woman in the shop that you don't know.

The man you pass in the street.

The child you see playing.

All nourished by the same air.

That dog you may have seen.

The cat slinking along.

The horse in the field.

The grazing cows.

The bleating sheep.

All taking and sharing this air.

Breathing it in and then releasing it back out again.

All connected.

And as you follow my words,

Your breath is flowing through you.

Connected to everything that breathes the air.

And you're also anchored to the earth wherever you are.

Beneath you,

Either right beneath you or several floors down,

There is a ground that anchors you,

That supports you.

And all the others that share this land,

This earth,

We're all connected.

Balanced on this earth.

Sharing it with other people,

With other creatures,

With plants.

Plants that make their home in this earth.

That grow in this earth and go on to nourish us.

The earth,

Their home and our home too.

And the trees are anchored in this earth.

The trees are anchored in this earth,

Drawing nitrates up through the soil.

The tree nourished and anchored by its roots.

The tree that gives us the air that we breathe.

Working with the earth.

Working with the earth,

Working with the sun.

Drawing its strength from the sun too,

Just as you do.

It takes energy from the sun and gives us the oxygen in the air that we breathe.

The trees giving us life.

The sun giving us our vitamin D,

Nourished by the sun.

The earth and the air,

All of us together as one.

The trees and the plants.

The earth and the air.

The animals living here with us too,

All part of one great whole,

One being,

One belonging.

And with the water too.

We have water within us and we need water to nourish us and the rain falls pattering down.

Perhaps imagining a warm spring rain and maybe feeling it upon you.

Or imagine opening your mouth and allowing these sustaining droplets of water.

The elements that support us.

The breath of air.

The solid ground beneath us.

The sun that warms us.

The water that hydrates us and links us all.

The mineral realms.

The plant realms.

The animal realms.

And all the humans that live together on this planet as we share,

As we belong together,

All connected,

All one,

Oneness.

Aware and allow that oneness to be there.

Feeling the connection with all living creatures.

Feeling the connection with the earth beneath us and the air and the water.

We are a part of it and it is a part of us.

And it is a part of us.

And I'll just leave you to hold on to these thoughts of oneness,

Of connection,

Of belonging.

As you gradually come back to full awareness of where you are in space and time,

In your space,

In your place,

Come back to full awareness to where you are.

That's right.
