Find a comfortable seated position and close your eyes.
Take three deep breaths,
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
Feeling the air fill your lungs and allowing yourself to fully settle into the present moment.
As you continue to breathe,
Bring your attention to your body.
Notice any areas of tension or discomfort and simply acknowledge them without judgment.
Now bring your attention to your breath.
Notice the sensation of air as it enters and exits your nostrils.
Try to stay with this sensation for a few moments,
Letting go of any thoughts or distractions that arise.
Imagine yourself standing in a beautiful,
Peaceful meadow.
The sun is shining down on you and a gentle breeze caresses your skin.
In the distance,
You can hear a soothing sound of a flowing mountain stream.
As you look around,
You notice a tree in the center of the meadow.
It's a grand,
Ancient tree with gnarled branches and deep roots.
You walk over to the tree and sit down at its base,
Leaning your back against its trunk.
As you sit with the tree,
You feel a sense of calm wash over you.
The tree's energy is strong and steady and you can feel its wisdom and guidance.
Take a moment and connect with the tree and let its energy flow into you.
Now focus on your breath and bring your attention inward.
Notice any thoughts or feelings that come up and simply acknowledge them without judgment.
Allow yourself to let go of any need to control or hold on to any particular thought or emotion.
As you sit with the tree,
You realize that you're not alone.
You're part of a vast,
Interconnected web of life and you are held and supported by the earth beneath you and the sky above.
You begin to feel the weight of the world melting away.
You let go of any worries or stress,
Allowing yourself to fully relax in the present moment.
You are safe and you are loved.
Take a few more deep breaths and when you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes,
Bringing the sense of peace and connection back with you into your day.
