Welcome,
Friend.
Thank you for joining me today.
During our time together,
We will be taking some restorative yoga shapes.
And within those shapes,
There will be an invitation to explore,
As well as the opportunity to receive some music.
So take some time to prepare your space.
I would recommend a few pillows.
And if today you are feeling particularly tender,
Feel free to receive this from the comfort of your bed.
So settling in now to contemplative pose.
Laying flat on your back,
Bending the knees,
Placing the feet just past your glutes.
And if you'd like a little extra support,
Perhaps placing a pillow behind the head and under the knees.
And there's an option here to bring the feet wider than the hips,
Allowing the joints of the knees to fall into touch for some extra stability.
If touch feels comfortable,
I would invite you to place both your hands over your pelvis.
And taking a moment to fully arrive.
Dancing with the breath,
Listening to the sounds surrounding you,
And inviting the tension and the holding in your body to soften,
Starting with the feet,
And then moving up through the ankles,
The calves,
The shins.
And checking in with the knees,
The thighs,
The glutes,
The lower back.
The low belly,
The whole of the pelvic floor,
Genitals,
Perineum,
Anus.
Noticing any gripping here to let go.
And contacting the breath and the belly,
Feeling the low back,
The mid back,
The whole of the chest cavity.
Using the tides of breath for a moment here at the ribs.
And surrendering any doing,
Allowing the arms,
The shoulders,
All the way down through the elbows,
The forearms,
The wrists,
The hands to be heavy and to find rest.
And softening the neck,
The throat,
The jaw,
The mouth,
The skin of the face and scalp.
Giving permission for the eyes to close if they haven't already.
Releasing the globes of the eyes to gravity and allowing the support from mama earth beneath you and to hold you here safe.
Feeling nothing but yielding the weight of your body into the surface beneath you.
And feeling nothing but feeling the weight of your body into the surface beneath you.
And feeling nothing but feeling the weight of your body into the surface beneath you.
And feeling nothing but feeling the weight of your body into the surface beneath you.
And feeling nothing but feeling the weight of your body into the surface beneath you.
And feeling nothing but feeling the weight of your body into the surface beneath you.
And feeling nothing but feeling the weight of your body into the surface beneath you.
And feeling nothing but feeling the weight of your body into the surface beneath you.
Releasing the breath.
Finding some gentle movement here.
Our next invitation here will be to gently press both feet into the earth.
And alternating that with drawing the knees to the chest.
Grabbing the feet or legs and opening the hips wide for a happy baby.
Inviting as much breath down low into the creases of the hips into the pelvic floor and push out through the feet.
I am my way,
Oh,
My way,
Oh,
My way,
Oh,
My way.
Settling back into stillness now.
Bringing the heels close to your booty and opening the knees wide.
Supporting your legs with pillows if needed for a reclined cobblers pose.
If touch feels safe to you,
Placing one hand low on the belly and the other hand over the heart.
Resting back.
Returning to allowing gravity to do her work.
Inviting softness.
Releasing the breath to do what it needs to do.
And finding rest here.
And feeling nothing but feeling the weight of your body into the surface beneath you.
And feeling nothing but feeling the weight of your body into the surface beneath you.
Oh,
Oh,
Oh,
Oh,
Oh,
Oh,
Oh.
Oh,
Oh,
Oh,
