You read it simply, delicately , and lovingly, and in your beautiful voice, it's perfect. 🌞 Brion is working, but he walked in and I just showed it to him, and he was so pleased. I wrote this Poem for my husband in the Ocala National Forest in Florida in 1990, where we were spending some time with our young son, Andrew. I went there in the early spring each year if I could, to get some sunshine and to be with my family. My father, writer, speaker on Eastern thought, and meditation teacher, Irving Fiske, died that spring. He had a stroke. I was told that he said several times: "I have created this myself." If he didn’t say that then, he certainly thought that, and said many times that we create our own reality.
All that spring, I'd had a sense of great wings 🕊️ wheeling in the sky, over the lake and the cabin.
I was in Vermont when Irving died. I decided to dedicate this poem, probably the last of mine he ever read, to him as well.
