Hi friend,
It's been a while.
I'm so glad you found some time for yourself today.
Let's find a comfortable position to sit in.
Can be on the ground.
On your bed or in a comfy chair.
Allow your back to be nice and long.
And rest your hands in your lap or on your knees.
If you feel comfortable close your eyes.
Or simply.
Send your gaze down past your nose.
Take a long deep breath in.
And a long breath out.
The hardest part is over,
Because you're already here.
You already pressed play.
Take a moment to notice the quality of your breath.
Is your breath long?
Is it deep?
Maybe a little shallow.
Just observe.
There is no right or wrong.
Simply observe.
The natural pace of your breathing.
Notice how you feel in your physical body.
Maybe there is a space for your shoulders to relax a little bit more.
Perhaps you can soften your fingertips,
The palms of your hands,
Your feet,
Your toes.
Notice the weight of your body in the ground or in the chair you're sitting in.
Supported,
Grounded,
And safe.
Notice your mind.
For some.
Sitting in stillness feels easy.
But for some of us.
Sitting in stillness feels really hard.
Maybe you notice a lot of thoughts popping up.
Memories,
Emotions.
That's ok.
Our goal is not to stop the mind from thinking.
But to make the effort to keep coming back to the present moment.
To your breath.
To yourself.
Give yourself a moment to appreciate that you found the time in your day to be here.
No matter how challenging it is.
You made it!
Sometimes we feel the urge to maybe stop the recording when it gets hard.
Do something more productive instead.
But I invite you to keep listening a little longer.
Even if it's hard.
Even if your mind gives you one million thoughts a minute.
This is the practice.
The practice of mindfulness,
Awareness.
The practice of being.
We are human beings.
But how much time do we actually.
.
.
Spend Just Being.
Not doing anything at all.
We live in a world in constant stimulation.
There is always something that's grabbing our attention.
So these few minutes you take for yourself are so important.
It's this time when we can slowly turn our awareness inwards.
Where we can be aware of how we are feeling.
What do we need?
And what is our intention?
So I invite you now.
Think about your intention for today.
What is important to you?
How do you wish to show up in a world for yourself and for others?
Your intention can be just one word.
Perhaps you're hoping to be a little bit more patient with the people around you.
Maybe you want to feel joy and happiness today.
Maybe you need courage.
To go through the day and everything that's awaiting for you today.
And maybe love.
For yourself and for people around you.
What is your intention?
And what can you do today?
To bring the intention in everything you do.
In everything you think.
And everything you say.
If no intention came to you right at this moment.
Don't worry about it.
Maybe we can choose presents.
Being a little bit present today with our thoughts,
Feelings,
With what's happening around.
Maybe once this meditation ends and you go make your tea or coffee.
You might drink it a little bit slower.
Not with your phone in the other hand,
But just drinking the coffee.
Being present.
Being aware.
And it's those small things where we start building awareness and mindfulness.
Being mindful or conscious on purpose.
Gives you the ability to make change.
Gives you the ability to be more effective in all you do.
So with that thought.
.
.
Start noticing your body once again.
Biggling your toes.
Bailing your fingers.
Let's take one deep breath in together,
In through the nose.
And this time out through the mouth.
One more time,
Inhaling in.
And out through the mouth.
As we close this meditation.
Remember your intention and try to carry it with you into your day.
I hope to see you again,
My friend,
Some other time,
To practice being,
To practice awareness.
