Welcome to this meditation,
Anchoring in Breath.
I'm Yin Shan,
And today I'll guide you through this relaxing and mindful practice.
Take a moment to find a comfortable position,
Seated,
Lying down,
Or even standing if you prefer.
Let's begin by bringing our awareness to the breath.
Our breathing is stable,
Solid ground that we can always take refuge in.
No matter the storms within,
Our thoughts,
Emotions,
Or perceptions,
Our breathing remains constant like a faithful friend.
Whenever we feel carried away,
Sunken in a deep emotion,
Or scattered in worries and projects,
We return to our breathing to collect and anchor our mind.
As you settle in,
Notice the gentle flow of air entering and leaving your nose.
Feel its natural rhythm,
Calm,
Light,
And effortless.
Feel the flow of air coming in and going out of our nose.
Let the breath anchor our mind,
Gathering it from wherever it has wandered.
Whenever you feel carried away by the currents of emotions,
Or scattered by the busyness of life,
You can return to the steady rhythm.
Breathing in,
Feel the air filling your body with life.
Breathing out,
Let go of tension and stress.
You may like to silently recite,
Breathing in,
I know that I'm breathing in.
Breathing out,
I know that I'm breathing out.
There is no need to control the breath,
Simply observe it as it is.
It may be long or short,
Deep or shallow,
Allow it to unfold naturally.
With each moment of awareness,
The breath may gently slow and deepen.
Feel its peaceful rhythm grounding you,
Connecting your body and mind.
The simple yet profound practice is always available to you.
Whether you are walking,
Working,
Or resting,
You can return to the breath,
The source of life and calm within you.
As you continue to breathe consciously,
Know that this energy of mindfulness nourishes every cell of your being.
Let's sit in in the stillness for a few more moments,
Simply breathing,
Simply being.
When you are ready,
Gently open your eyes and carry this mindfulness with you into the rest of your day.
Return to this practice as often as you like to find peace and tranquility in your daily life.
