Good morning dear one and welcome to this morning gratitude meditation.
You might still be cozy in your bed,
You might have the eyes closed,
Or perhaps you've started making some movements this morning.
Wherever you are,
Ensure that you are comfortable grabbing whatever is necessary to be cozy.
Perhaps a blanket,
A warm cup of coffee or tea,
And just allow your eyes to close gently and with the eyes closed and the body cozy,
Tune in to any sounds you hear.
Perhaps birds greeting the day,
Various sounds of wherever you are.
Maybe you are in a city and you can hear the cars passing people on their way to work.
Perhaps the sounds of your home.
Just noticing as an observer without judgment.
And as you tune into these sounds,
Notice how very present you are.
And know that just by starting your day this way,
Just by starting with a moment of presence,
Of just simply being in the moment,
Noticing,
Observing,
You are setting yourself up for a day in which this presence can guide your every step.
So without getting distracted by to-do lists,
With the schedule of your day that lies ahead of you,
We take this moment,
Give ourselves this gift to simply be.
Bring your awareness to your breath,
Drawing a deep breath through the nose down into your belly,
Allowing the air to fill the ribs,
The chest,
The collarbones,
The throat.
Pause with your breath at the top for just a moment here.
And then as you exhale,
Let it go on a sigh,
Releasing from the throat,
Collarbones,
Chest,
Belly.
One more full deep breath,
Sipping in the air,
Sipping in the day,
The morning light,
And letting it go on a full deep sigh.
Deep sigh.
Before we part here,
I'd like for you to set an intention for your day.
Just a short phrase,
Maybe even just one word,
An energy that you'd like to guide your day today.
Maybe you'd like to maintain this presence,
So you set the intention,
I am present.
Perhaps you'd like to feel this peaceful all day long,
So you set the intention,
I am peaceful,
Or I'm filled with peace.
I am joy,
I am light,
I am calm,
I am grounded.
And as you're ready,
Beginning to just invite some gentle movement into the body,
Preparing to continue on with your day.
Namaste.
