Just like you can hear sounds,
You can hear thoughts,
So instead of trying to stop the voice,
We're gonna have a look at it,
So take a slow breath in,
And then let it go,
Good,
Now just notice,
Notice the next thing your mind says,
Now don't change it,
Don't even fight it,
Just listen,
Now what does it sound like,
Is it harsh,
Is it fast,
Or is it repetitive,
Just observe,
And now notice this,
If you comes in,
Maybe it's saying something critical,
And well,
That is okay,
Just notice it,
And instead of reacting,
Just saying quietly,
That's a thought,
Not true,
Not even fact,
Just a thought,
And again,
Another one appears,
That's a thought,
Now you're not arguing with it,
You're not even agreeing with it,
You're just seeing it for what it is,
Something passing through,
Now notice something else,
The voice comes,
And then it goes,
It doesn't stay,
And even if it repeats,
It comes in waves,
And between those waves,
There are small gaps,
Quiet moments,
So see if you can notice one,
A brief space where nothing is being said,
And then stay there just for a moment,
And that space is still here,
Even when your thoughts come back,
It's always underneath,
Unchanged,
So now let the thoughts come again,
No problem,
And then just keep noticing,
That's a thought,
And then back to the space,
Good,
Now here's the shift,
You don't need to silence the voice,
You just stop identifying with it,
You stop treating it like it's you,
Because it isn't,
It's a pattern,
A habit,
A voice that you've learned over time,
And now you're seeing it clearly,
And when you do see it clearly,
It loses power,
Now not all at once,
But enough,
So now bring your attention back to the body,
Feel your breath,
Feel your hands,
Feel your weight,
Now this is real,
The voice is just passing through,
And you are the one noticing it,
Always here,
Unchanged,
So take one more slow breath in,
And then let it go gently,
