This is your practice of Yoga Nidra,
Where you practice stillness,
Listening,
Noticing,
And allowing.
There is nothing for you to do but be present.
I invite you to give yourself the permission to practice feeling all of the sensations of your body.
Cultivate your environment to optimize your practice.
Turn off your notifications.
Inform others you share space with to not disturb you.
Use props,
Pillows,
And blankets to support the natural curvature of your spine.
Lay in Shavasana or simply lie on your back.
Allow your legs to separate and fall naturally apart.
Rest your hands along your sides,
Palms facing upwards.
If your shoulders are muscle bound,
Lay your hands with the pinky side along the ground.
Make sure your pillow is low to the ground or use a neck roll.
Your body temperature can drop in this practice.
Use a blanket to keep warm while allowing your hands and feet to be free of the touch.
Soften or close your eyes.
Begin to notice the parts of your body that are touching the ground.
Feel gravity pull your body to the ground.
As you prepare your body for this practice,
Adjust or fidget around as needed.
See if your body is in a balanced position.
Even out your right and left sides,
Front and back.
Balance out the top and bottom parts of your body.
Allow the body to start to settle in.
Focus inward on your heart.
Remain still and be with the experience and story that your body desires to tell you.
Come back to feeling your body,
Lying here on the ground.
Start to hear the sounds around you in this space.
What sounds do you hear nearby?
Can you allow yourself to accept that these sounds are there?
What sounds do you hear just outside of the room that you are in?
Can you be okay with these sounds without judgments or labels?
What are the furthest sounds that you can hear?
How far out can you hear sound?
Breathe in all of these sounds.
Hear the harmony of all of the sounds put together.
Slowly bring your hearing back into the room that you are in.
What do you hear now?
Come back to your body and now focus on the sounds of your heart.
Focus your awareness onto your breath.
Close your mouth and use your nose to breathe in and out.
Let's imagine that we can breathe in and out of our hearts.
Let's imagine that our hearts pump breath from ourselves out to others.
Breathe in and imagine your heart expands and glows.
When you exhale,
Imagine that your breath expands and glows into the hearts of others.
Keep breathing with this imagery.
I will leave you for a moment to experience this breath.
When my voice comes back,
We will continue along the rainbow bridge together.
We will move into our rotation of consciousness.
Use your imagination as we travel around your body.
There is no right or wrong in Nidra.
Follow your instincts.
I will name a series of body parts.
Imagine these parts of your body to light up like a golden light bulb.
Allow yourself to play along just for this practice.
Imagine that you can see your thumbs light up with a golden light.
Feel both of your thumbs,
Pointer fingers,
Middle fingers,
Ring fingers,
Pinky fingers.
See this light at the tip of all of your fingers.
Notice the light descend the bones of your fingers to light up the palm of your hands.
Watch as the golden light travels up your forearms,
Elbows,
Upper arms,
And shoulders.
Witness the light float down your body from your shoulder blades to your ribs,
Hips,
Buttocks,
Upper leg,
Knees,
Lower legs,
And heels.
Watch the soles of your feet radiate.
Sense this light in both of your big toes,
Second toes,
Third toes,
Fourth toes,
Fifth toes.
Feel all the tips of your toes,
The spaces between all of your toes.
Experience this golden light shining brightly along the soles of both of your feet,
Calves,
Hamstrings,
Buttocks.
Allow the hips to remain soft and open.
Follow the light as it circulates up the spine as if it were following a vortex.
From the base of your spine circulating up to the lower back,
Rising to your middle back,
Traveling to your upper back until you can see the golden light land at the back of your neck,
Base of your skull,
Back of the head,
Crown of your head,
Wrapping around to your forehead to settle in on the place just between your eyebrows.
Watch the golden light trace your eyebrows from the inside out to land at your temples.
Travel down the bridge of your nose and the length of your jaw.
Feel the golden light radiate your upper lip,
Lower lip,
Tongue.
Follow the light as it glides down your mouth and rests on your throat.
See the light travel along your collarbones from the center to your shoulders.
Watch the light land upon your heart.
Feel your heart soften and expand with the buzzing presence of this golden light,
Palpating the light throughout your whole body.
Create a mental picture of your whole body.
As your body lays here on the ground,
You start to notice the tickles of grass below you.
You are laying on the warm green grass with your best animal friend,
Past,
Present,
Or future.
It could be a wild cat,
A lizard,
A bird,
Or in my case,
Big broads.
The adoration of the sun is hugging the tops of your bodies and it feels like a cozy cocoon wrapping around you both.
Feel your best animal friend breathe.
Feel their body push up against yours,
Slowing your breath.
A cuddle of rhythm,
Together,
Bonded by the life force of breath.
Continue to imagine laying in the warm green grass,
Basking in the warm sun,
Breathing gently with your best animal friend.
You begin to hear soft scrunches in the grass.
You are being visited by a playful baby elephant.
The elephant reaches its trunk around and brings to you the most interesting red flower that you have ever seen.
The baby elephant gently places the red flower at the base of your spine as it walks away.
You take in a deep,
Slow breath as you feel and envision a creative and safe world inside and outside of your own body.
Your body senses a deep relaxation as you are now being visited by a friendly crocodile.
It approaches to join you both in an afternoon of sunbathing.
Do not judge what you experience.
You are in the ninja state where logic does not need to apply.
The crocodile leaves you with an orange flower just below your belly button and walks away.
You take in a slow breath as you sense and conceive a loving and nurturing world inside and outside of your own body.
A new friend comes to visit with you both,
A courageous ram.
The ram puts the most majestic flower between your belly button and the bottom of your ribcage.
It literally looks like it's on fire.
The large center burns bright yellow.
You take a conscious breath as you notice and see a supporting and courageous world inside and outside of your own body.
With grace and ease,
A loving antelope comes next.
There is a sense of being alive around your new friend.
As the antelope leaves,
It places the most interesting green flower over your heart.
You take in a deep breath as you create and contemplate a loving and compassionate world inside and outside of your own body.
A gargantuan white elephant comes to join you.
The three of you are stricken by conversation.
You,
Your best animal friend,
And this huge white elephant.
Jabbering away about mumbo jumbo.
The white elephant gently lays a blue flower upon your throat.
You sense how this flower has the power to connect.
You take a mindful breath as you palpate and construct a harmonious and graceful world inside and outside of your own body.
This time what comes to visit you is there and not there.
It is like the wind.
It is not good or bad.
It is not an us or a them.
It simply blows around you.
The wind moves on and drops a captivating,
The wind moves on and drops a captivating purple flower above and between your eyebrows.
You take in an actualized breath as you discern and compose a world that celebrates individuality and unity inside and outside of your own body.
Out of nowhere,
While you lay in the warm green grass with your best animal friend,
There is an explosion of white or gold light.
On the crown of your head lies a haku lei made up of a thousand rainbow-colored petals.
It is the most sublime thing that you have ever witnessed.
Your best animal friend is left in awe.
Your body,
Full of the sensations that you are an array of colors,
Emotions,
And experiences.
You are the energy of the rainbow.
Rainbow energy creates you.
You take in a deep,
Slow breath as you feel and envision a world that is whole and complete.
A world that is whole and complete.
Inside and outside of your own body.
Come back to breathing in sync with your best animal friend.
Feel the love and connection between you.
What does it feel like?
Where do you feel it inside of your body?
How would you describe the sensation of love and breath?
Notice the ability that you have to tap into this.
This connection beyond the physical realm.
How love has a way of traveling beyond time and space.
Allow yourself to sit in sensations of love and connection for just a moment.
Longer.
It is forever inside of your body.
Thank you for trusting me to be your guide.
Your practice of Yoga Nidra is now complete.
Thank you for using your imagination so I could have a reason to hang out with my best animal friend,
Brahda.
You have the answers to create peace with inside your own body.
Begin with the thought of moving.
Imagine what it will feel like.
Start slow and small by wiggling your fingers and toes.
Slowly make those movements bigger until you feel ready to sit up again.

Absolutely lovely, thank youππ»ππ»ππ»AND the pace is way too quick for me. It would have been wonderful to take in every animal, to feel the effect of every flower. It was just one thing after another, no time to BE with the giftsππ»πππππππ»
