Welcome to a guided meditation connecting you with the quality of earth in whatever way that resonates with you.

You might feel a sensation of being grounded within your body.

Maybe you connect to earth physically,

Noticing the parts of your body that are in contact with the floor.

Feeling the weight of your bones,

A centering,

A settling as you're supported by the ground,

The earth beneath you.

Or it may be that you have a sense of the earth around you.

Maybe a more expansive awareness of earth as nature.

Maybe the location that you're in right now.

Perhaps sending your awareness out into your surroundings beyond the walls of the room that you're in,

Or if you're outside,

Beyond the location where you are,

To the surrounding landscape.

Maybe even sending your awareness above so that you can look down on your sense of self and your surroundings on a wider,

More expansive scale.

Or earth for you may have a quality to it.

Maybe a quieting,

A sense of solidity,

A sense of being earthed.

If you're a gardener,

Maybe that touching into that emotion,

That sensation that arises within you when you have the soil between your fingers.

Maybe you connect with earth as you walk barefoot on the grass or in the sand.

What does earth mean to you?

Take a few moments,

A few breaths,

To just build that picture of sensation,

Of memory,

Of presence.

Connecting with earth in whatever way feels meaningful to you and noticing where in the body,

When you think of earth,

What thoughts arise?

Is there a particular feeling quality in your body or mind that arises when you connect?

See if you can fully drop mind.

Maybe a sense of being amused by the quality of earth,

If that feels good to you.

Or a sense of expanding outwards and touching.

Noticing whether you prefer to move inward or outward as you sense your connection to earth,

Knowing that there is no perfect way.

Earth is a quality within us.

I'll give you some space to noticing while sensing earth.

And if it feels right for you,

You can stay here,

Maybe falling asleep.

Or just know that you can open your eyes and move on with your day,

Carrying that sense,

That connection of earth with you.
