Hello,
Dear beautiful one.
Welcome to this guided meditation for the new moon in Virgo.
I'm so glad you've taken the time to join me today.
A new moon is the darkest phase in the entire lunar cycle.
It's when the sky holds no moonlight at all.
On this new moon.
The moon and sun meet in the sign of Virgo.
Virgo is an earth sign ruled by Mercury,
The planet of communication,
Thought,
And discernment.
It's the sign of the healer.
The Analyst.
The Devoted One.
Virgo governs our health.
And our daily rituals.
The quiet routines that hold everything together.
A new moon in Virgo invites you to look closely at those routines and at the details of your life.
At what's serving you and what's not.
It's an invitation to release the pressure of perfectionism and overthinking.
And to bring more clarity and order.
Into the parts of life that may feel out of sync.
This Virgo new moon is asking you to notice something in your life that's ready for a little more attention and care.
You may already know what this is.
And if you don't,
Trust that it will reveal itself and unfold over the weeks and months ahead.
Simply know that you are being invited to plant one small intention here today.
And to trust that tending to it day by day is enough.
My name is Wendy,
And it's my honor to guide you through this practice today.
Welcome.
Today's practice will guide you through gentle breath work.
Body awareness and visualization.
All which help your nervous system shift out of doing mode and into rest.
We'll be working with the mind-body connection to release tension.
Quiet the noise of the day and create space for a new moon intention to take root.
The goal is that by the end of this session,
You feel even a brief moment of stillness and ease.
And a renewed sense of quiet devotion to yourself.
And to your life.
Let's briefly walk through what this journey will include so you can settle in fully without wondering what's ahead.
We'll start by building your yoga nidra nest.
Settling into a position.
Where your body feels completely safe.
And supported.
From here,
Slow,
Easy breathing lets your nervous system know that it's safe to release.
And while your mind is calm and receptive.
Will set a simple intention for our practice.
Next,
We'll move through the body in a gentle journey of awareness.
Letting it release anything.
It's been quietly holding.
After that.
A visualization.
Will carry us through a moonlit garden.
Tending and clearing what's ready.
We'll close with affirmations rooted in Virgo's wisdom,
Discernment,
Devotion,
And the courage to begin small.
And then will gently return to waking consciousness.
That's all there is.
Simply let my voice guide you.
And let your body do.
What it already knows how to do.
Settle in and relax.
If you're experiencing Yoga Nidra for the first time,
Welcome.
You are in for something truly special.
Unlike traditional meditation,
Where you sit upright and focus.
Yoga Nidra invites you to lie down or sit.
Be completely still.
And simply listen.
Know that you may drift in and out of awareness.
As you feel so deeply relaxed.
You may even fall asleep.
And this is perfectly normal.
And welcome.
The healing and integration happen.
Whether you are consciously aware.
Or not.
Simply allow yourself to be guided.
And trust that your body,
Mind,
And soul will receive exactly what they need.
All that is asked is that you get comfortable.
Close your eyes.
And listen.
So let's begin by finding your most comfortable position for rest.
You might lie in your back.
In a traditional Shavasana position.
Or you may choose to sit in a chair.
Find whatever feels most natural to you.
Use whatever props are available for your comfort.
Perhaps a pillow beneath your head.
A bolster or a pillow for under your knees.
And a blanket to keep you warm.
Make your final adjustments.
Creating your cozy cocoon of comfort around you.
Your sanctuary for rest.
Allow your body to be held completely.
By the surface beneath you.
And when you're ready.
Gently close your eyes.
If they're not already closed.
Let's begin with a few cleansing breaths.
Taking a deep inhale through your nose.
Filling your lungs completely.
And exhale slowly through your mouth with a long sigh.
As if you're letting go of everything you've been carrying.
Again,
Deep inhale through your nose.
And a slow exhale through your mouth.
One more time,
Breathe in deeply.
And let it all go completely.
Now let your breath return to its own natural rhythm.
No need to control it.
Simply notice it.
Notice it rising and falling.
All on its own.
Bring your awareness now to the weight of your body.
Feel where your body is resting on the surface beneath you.
And with your next exhale.
Allow yourself to sink just a little more into that support.
Allow your shoulders and your arms to release.
Allow your hips and your legs.
To soften.
And let go.
You are being held.
No need for any effort.
And here.
In the quiet dark of the new moon.
Let's plant a Sengopa.
A simple intention offered to your subconscious.
While it's open.
And receptive.
If you already have an intention that's close to your heart.
You may offer it to yourself now.
If nothing comes to mind.
You're welcome to borrow this one.
I trust the steps I'm taking to shape the life I'm building.
I trust the steps I'm taking to shape the life I'm building.
Silently repeat your intention to yourself three times.
Let your intentions settle like a seed beneath the surface.
And simply let it rest.
Now we'll move through a gentle journey of awareness.
Through your body.
There's no need to do anything.
Or to move anything.
Simply listen.
And let your awareness travel to each place I name.
Let's begin.
Bring your attention to your right hand.
Your right thumb.
Index finger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger.
Little finger.
The palm of your right hand.
The back of your right hand.
Your right wrist.
Your right forearm.
Right elbow.
Right upper arm.
Your right shoulder.
Now the left hand.
Your left thumb.
Index finger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger.
Little finger.
The palm of your left hand.
The back of your left hand.
Your left wrist.
Your left forearm.
Your left elbow.
Left upper arm.
Your left shoulder.
Both shoulders now.
Saffronine You are now.
Your throat,
Where your voice lives.
Your jaw releasing.
Your lips.
Your cheeks.
Your eyes,
Heavy and still.
Your forehead Smoothied.
The crown of your head.
Your chest rising and falling.
Your heart.
At the very center.
Your belly.
Your lower back.
Your hips.
Your right leg.
Your right thigh Right knee.
Right calf.
Right ankle.
Your right foot and every toe on your foot.
Your left leg.
Your left thigh.
Your left knee.
Left calf.
Left ankle.
Your left foot.
And every toe on your foot.
Now feel your whole body all at once.
Completely still.
Completely supported.
Completely safe.
Now,
In your mind's eye.
Imagine yourself standing at the edge of a garden just after dusk.
The sky above you is dark and quiet.
There's no visible moon tonight.
Only a scattering of stars.
This garden has been yours for a long,
Long time.
You've tended to it through every season of your life.
You step onto the soft earth of the path.
Feel the cool ground beneath your bare feet.
The air smells of soil and herbs and something faintly sweet.
As you walk.
You notice a few overgrown patches along the path.
A tangle of vines.
That is crept up further than it should.
A small bed of weeds.
These are like the habits.
The obligations.
The old ways of proving your worth.
They have simply grown past their season.
You kneel down.
And with quiet,
Capable hands.
You begin to clear a little space.
Not all of it.
Just enough to see the soil again.
There is no rush.
And there is no need to be perfect about it.
You simply clear.
What you can reach.
As you were.
You find a small basket nearby.
Half filled with seeds.
Each seed is something you want to grow.
Perhaps a habit.
Or a hope.
Perhaps a better way of taking care of yourself.
You don't need to plant them all today.
Simply choose one.
Place it in your palm.
And feel how small it seems.
Remember that everything that has ever grown here.
Began exactly this smile.
You press the seed gently into the cleared soil and softly pat the earth.
Covering the seed with care.
Nearby,
You notice a stone bench.
And on it,
A cup of tea made from herbs grown right here in this garden.
You sit down for a moment.
And you let yourself simply rest in what you've done.
Not focusing on what's left to do.
You've done enough.
You are enough.
As you sit.
You sense the whole garden around you in the dark.
Every bed you've tended to over the years.
Every harvest.
Every failed planting.
Every quiet act of care that no one else ever saw.
All have mattered.
It's all part of what's growing here.
Somewhere above you,
Though you can't yet see it.
The first sliver of new moonlight is beginning to gather.
In the dark sky.
You won't see it tonight,
But it's there.
And so is what you've just planted.
And now,
Repeat these affirmations silently after me.
Letting each one fully anchor.
I trust the small steps I take each day.
I let go of the need to be perfect.
And to have it all figured out.
My body deserves gentle care.
And attention.
I know what is mine to carry.
And what I can set down.
I can be of service to others without losing myself.
There is sacredness in the ordinary rhythm of my days.
I trust the quiet magic of small beginnings.
And now,
Before you open your eyes,
Silently repeat your sankalpa,
Your intention,
To yourself one more time.
I trust the steps I'm taking to shape the life I'm building.
I trust the steps I'm taking to shape the life I'm building.
And now bring your hands together at your heart center.
In Anjali Mudra.
And take a moment to thank yourself.
For showing up today.
During the quiet.
Sacred beginning of the new moon.
And slowly now.
Begin to bring your awareness back.
Into the room around you.
Notice the surface beneath you once more.
The weight of your body.
The temperature of the air.
And begin to bring some gentle movements back into your body.
Wiggling your fingers and your toes.
And gently deepening your breath.
And when you're ready.
In your own time.
Stretch in whatever way feels good to you.
And your body.
Perhaps a full body stretch.
By bringing your arms up and over your head.
And slowly and gently.
Let your eyes open.
Carry the quiet devotion of this new moon with you over the coming days and weeks.
And give yourself permission to tend to your life gently.
One small step at a time.
Trusting that the seeds you've planted today.
Will grow.
In divine timing.
Thank you so much for practicing with me today.
It truly is my honor.
May love and light fill your heart.
May love and light fill your mind.
And may love and light be with you always.
I wish you a beautiful day.
And a radiant and joyful new moon season.
Until we meet again.
Namaste.
