Some truths about life are rarely spoken out loud. In this meditation, we reflect on the quiet reality that people will enter and leave our lives, but our worth remains. This practice invites you to ground yourself in self worth so that connection becomes something you share, not something you depend on.

If you finally found a quiet moment,

I'm glad you're here.

Maybe you have headphones on.

Maybe you stepped away from a noisy room.

Maybe today has just felt like a lot.

For the next few moments,

Nothing is expected from you.

You don't have to perform.

You don't have to impress anyone.

Just sit here for a moment.

There is something adults do not explain clearly enough to teenagers.

As you move through life,

People will come and go.

Friends will enter your world.

Some will stay for a while.

Others will slowly drift away.

One day you'll meet co-workers you laugh with every day.

Years later,

You may barely remember their last names.

You will meet people who feel incredibly important for a season of your life.

And then life will just keep moving.

When you're young,

It can feel like every relationship is supposed to last forever.

It can feel like if someone leaves your life,

Something must be wrong with you.

But that's not how life works.

Life moves.

People grow.

Paths change.

And most relationships are only meant to walk beside you for a chapter.

That doesn't mean that those friendships were fake.

Doesn't mean that those memories didn't matter.

It simply means that your life keeps unfolding.

Here's something else no one explains very well.

Your worth cannot come from the people around you.

A lot of people grow up believing that their confidence comes from approval.

From how many friends they have.

From who likes them.

From who stays.

But confidence built on other people is fragile.

Because people change.

And if your value depends on who stays in your life,

Then every time someone leaves,

It'll feel like you lost part of yourself.

That is why something more important has to come first.

Self-worth.

Self-worth means understanding that your value already exists.

Not because of your popularity.

Not because of your achievements.

Not because of who chooses you.

Your worth is not something other people get to vote on.

It exists before friendships begin.

And it remains even when friendships end.

Once you understand that,

Something powerful happens.

You stop chasing people who do not respect you.

You stop believing every ending means you failed.

And you start choosing relationships that add to your life instead of defining it.

Some people are meant to walk with you for a while.

But very few are meant to walk with you forever.

The ones who stay longer will usually be the ones who see you clearly.

The ones who show up when life is difficult.

The ones who grow alongside you.

These are people worth holding close.

But many other relationships will still come and go.

And that's not something to fear.

It is simply part of growing into the person you are becoming.

Your life will have many chapters.

Different places,

Different friendships,

Different versions of you.

And throughout all of those changes,

One thing should remain steady.

Your understanding that your worth does not change depending on who enters or leaves your life.

Take one slow breath before you go.

Your story is still unfolding.

And the most important thing you can carry with you into every chapter of your life is this.

You already matter,

Just as you are.
