Hi friends,
Welcome.
My name is Deborah,
And I'm going to lead you through a very simple practice,
A mindful movement practice.
It's based on yoga.
And the goal of it is to find ease.
When you're feeling restless,
When you're feeling a little bit maybe edgy,
Or when you're feeling ungrounded,
When you're feeling flighty.
This is a simple yoga movement practice that you can do anytime.
You can do it in the mornings,
The evenings,
It's really up to you.
It's basically three moves that we're going to cycle through.
It is the cow,
Which I press my hands down into the mat,
My toes into the mat,
I drop my feet.
Navel down towards the mat,
Inhale up.
We're gonna exhale back into child's pose.
And come on up to our knees.
And with that movement.
We're gonna sync our breath with the movement.
So as we rise up onto our knees,
We take that inhale,
You'll notice that the body is gonna rise a little bit faster than the hands or maybe the hands.
Rise a little bit faster than the body.
We want to sync the movement with the breath.
Both the hands,
The body,
The breath.
All in one.
Getting that symbiotic.
Feeling and cyclical movement.
Let's try it.
First,
Let's start on tabletop position.
Go ahead and take a breath in.
Take a breath out and let's go ahead and begin.
Tuck those toes under,
Inhale up.
And to count.
Exhale all the way back into Child's Pose.
Mindful movements.
Inhale up into cow.
Let the breath and the movement finish at the same time.
Exhale back into child's pose using that whole breath.
Again,
When you're ready,
Inhale up into cow.
And exhale back into child's pose.
This time,
Bring your knees under you and reach up onto the knees.
We bring up the arms.
Into prayer position and exhale all the way down back into child's pose.
Let's hold on to the knees again.
Inhale up.
And exhale down.
You can bring the arms,
Like I do,
Behind me onto my lower back,
Or you can bring your hands down on either side of the shoulders.
One more time,
Inhale up onto the knees,
Navel into spine.
And exhale down into child's pose.
This time as we come with the inhale,
Let's move into cow.
And let's combine those.
Inhale.
Cow.
Exhale,
Child's Pose.
Inhale,
Up onto the knees,
Rise up.
Feel that expansion in the ribs,
Reaching up.
Exhale down,
Navel into spine.
Letting that exhale,
Letting go,
The folding,
The releasing.
Exhale.
And the cow.
Inhale,
Tuck those toes.
Drop the belly,
Reach up.
And exhale your own time with me.
Moving back into child's pose.
Your breath.
Up onto the knees when you're ready.
And exhale down.
Child's pose.
Navel to spine,
Exhale.
One more time,
Tabletop and decal.
Take the full inhale,
Drop and loosen through the tummy.
Exhale back,
Navel into spine.
Curling under,
Folding.
With control.
Inhale up.
And exhale all the way down.
In the child's pose.
You can choose to continue the movement or you can choose to come up into a seated position,
Whatever is comfortable for you.
And that is the practice,
My friends.
Moving through the breath,
Syncing the body with the movement,
The breath.
Friends,
I hope that you enjoyed this practice.
Please play around with it,
Make it your own.
Come back as often as you need.
If you have any questions,
Please reach out.
Never stay my friend.
The light in me bows to the light in you.
Thank you.
