Welcome to this morning yoga practice where we will focus on opening our hearts with a gentle short flow done very close to the mat and beginner friendly.
So come join me on the mat.
And find a sukhasana or easy seat.
We will start by.
.
.
Just opening up the shoulders with some gentle shoulder rolls.
Bringing them up and away from our ears.
Let's go the opposite direction.
Feeling into any tightness or crunchiness.
We'll come to stillness and just take some side reaches.
So bring one hand over your head reaching towards the side room.
Go to the other side.
Come to center and let's just take cactus arms.
So from this cactus arm position,
Let's just close and open.
Closing and opening our chest.
All right,
Let's release our cactus arms and bring everything straight forward.
And we'll take eagle arms,
So bring your right arm under your left.
And you can either hang on to your shoulder plates or maybe you want to experiment with allowing the back of your hands to touch or maybe your palms.
Wherever you are,
Just take slow,
Gentle breaths throughout the nose.
Release our eagle arms.
I'm going to change the cross of my legs.
Before going to the other side.
So bring your arms out in front.
We're going to take the left under right this time and whatever variation you took on the first side.
You can experiment with on the second.
All right,
Let's release our arms.
We're gonna come to tabletop,
So on hands and knees.
Let's take a little bit of movement in our cat cow.
So we are exhaling for cat and inhaling for dog.
For cow.
Let's come to a neutral position.
And we're going to take puppy dog.
So walk your hands forward until whatever feels good.
Until you can let your heart sink to the earth.
Maybe your forehead touches your mat,
Maybe it doesn't,
And that's okay.
Gently push ourselves back up.
We're gonna Sit back on our heels and bring our spine straight.
And let's walk our fingertips back.
So we're opening up our chest here.
Shoulders away from ears.
Feel a very gentle opening sensation.
Let's walk everything back to center and come back into that easy seat sutasana.
Well.
.
.
Close this practice with a breath together.
So inhale through the nose and then exhale to sigh.
Inhale.
The next video.
Thank you so much for practicing with me today.
I hope you have a beautiful day and hope to see you back here for the next one.
