You might have already asked yourself what actually means somatic dance,
Somatic movement.
And this is my very personal view on that and I try to give you my own little definition of what that means for me.
And somatic.
Movement,
Somatic dance,
Somatic itself means for me coming from here,
Our head,
Our mind into our body.
I think we can all relate to that,
That we spend a lot of time in our thinking,
Rational mind.
Maybe you know the feeling that you are sometimes quite disconnected from your body.
We are not really aware of how our body feels in certain moments.
And somatic dance,
Somatic movement is there to bring back this feeling,
This sensation,
Invite us to come back in our body.
And.
We do that with techniques like body awareness,
Micro movements where we start First and foremost,
Checking in in our body,
Starting to sense body parts,
Starting to feel body parts.
And return back home in our body.
That is basically what somatic dance and movement is for me.
And from this state of Feeling,
Sensation,
A lot of things can happen and a somatic dance movement class is always about exploration,
About being curious what comes up there.
So it's a very own journey.
And the teacher,
Me as a facilitator,
I give ideas,
I give impulses,
But I always say,
Let your body guide you.
So there is a lot of room for exploring feelings,
Sensations.
And I think after every session you will be surprised,
You will be.

Delighted,
You are closer connected to your body,
You feel more,
You sense more and you are more in alignment with body,
Mind and soul and not just here,
We somehow bring it all back in harmony and balance.
This is what somatic dance and movement means for me personally.
