The 4/1 Human Design profile is the most rare of the profiles as the only Fixed Fate Profile. People with this profile are here to fulfill a very specific purpose which involves creating solid foundations through research and investigation and sharing that with their networks and loved ones in an influential way. In this episode, I dive into this profile. I cover what exactly a Fixed Fate Profile is and why it’s so unique. I cover both the 4th line and the 1st line in detail and then bring the 2 together into this rare and unique profile. I go over potential pitfalls that can come up for people with this profile in business and how to overcome them so they can be on purpose and fulfill their potential. In today's episode,

I'm going to be covering the 4-1 profile,

One of the rarest profile in the human design system.

And I wanted to start with telling a little story about my friend Jess,

Who is a really great example of this profile.

Her life is a testament to following her destiny through her level and depth of research,

As well as her connections to others that have brought so many opportunities into her life and helped her follow her very fixed path in life.

For years,

Jess worked a demanding job which eventually led to burnout.

At this point,

She had some time to think and she decided to pursue a fitness certification class that she had been dreaming about for a very long time.

Once she got certified,

Everything started falling into place.

Her classes started filling up,

Her students absolutely loved her,

And she decided to further her career by then doing a yoga certification.

Through her connections,

She landed opportunities to teach yoga in businesses,

Which increased her income and expanded her connections even further.

Studying yoga also opened her up spiritually.

It deepened her connection not only to herself,

But also to others in her field.

During the pandemic,

Jess felt a really strong pull to study physical therapy.

She wanted to help her students with physical pains that were beyond the training that she'd already received up until that point.

Through her own experience with burnout,

Jess knew that the body speaks through physical ailments,

And she knew this area of study would help others reconnect to their physical selves.

In 2023,

Jess's network led her to Grenada West Indies,

Which is actually where I met her.

Grenada was a place that felt like destiny to her.

When she returned to her home country of Germany,

She stayed connected and stayed in touch with the people that she had met in Grenada,

Building relationships that eventually also helped her secure an internship here.

I was a part of this journey because I introduced her to my physical therapist,

Who she interned with.

This opened the door for her next steps in Grenada,

Which is a permanent move that is not too far in the future.

She gets to come here,

Work here,

Doing the work that she loves,

That she feels destined to do,

And really make a difference in the lives of her people,

Her community,

And her connections.

For Jess,

The 4-1 profile shines through her steady determination,

The strength of her relationships,

And the magic that happens when you truly align to your design.

Today,

We're going over the 4-1 Opportunist Investigator Profile in Human Design.

I'll go over both the fourth line and the first line,

And how they combine in this extremely rare profile.

I'll go over some pitfalls that this profile may encounter in their business and life journey,

And what to do to overcome those challenges so that they can be on purpose and fulfill their potential.

Welcome to Heart-Centered Human Design,

Emotional Intelligence and Conscious Business,

The show that empowers heart-centered entrepreneurs to use human design and emotional intelligence to create meaningful success,

Work-life balance,

And transform their passion and purpose into impact and prosperity.

I'm your host,

Vanessa Najda,

Human Design Mentor and Business Coach,

And I love sharing this information with you so that you can understand yourself better and use this amazing tool of human design to be on purpose and fulfill your potential in all areas of life.

So,

We're going over the 4-1 profile today.

I've already done individual episodes about the fourth line.

That is going to be in Season 1,

Episode 33,

And on the first line is Season 1,

Episode 30,

If you want to dive into the lines individually.

Now,

In the 4-1 profile,

This is an extremely,

Extremely rare profile.

It's only around 2.

14-ish percent of the population,

And it is called a fixed fate profile.

This is called a juxtaposition cross,

And what this means is there are three different kinds of incarnation crosses in human design,

And your incarnation cross is a big part of your purpose and what you're here to share with the world.

Now,

The ones that we have already covered in this series have all been personal destiny profiles,

And personal destiny profiles,

Their life path is very much about exploring themselves,

Learning through their own inner process before they connect with others.

Then,

We have the transpersonal profiles,

Which I'll be talking about in the upcoming episodes,

And those profiles,

They really need to connect with other people in order to fulfill their purpose.

They are designed to learn about their relationships.

Now,

If you think about this in business terms,

The personal profiles,

You can think of these as the research and development department of the business,

And the transpersonal profiles would be the marketing and sales department.

So,

We do that internal research and then we bring it out to the world.

The fixed fate or juxtaposition profile,

And the 4-1 is the only fixed fate profile,

They are like a bridge between those two.

They're neither and they're both at the same time.

Fixed fate profiles have very specific destinies.

They have a very specific path that they need to follow.

It's like they're on train tracks and they need to stay on those tracks in order to fulfill their destiny,

And a lot of their destiny is governed by their incarnation cross.

So,

Your incarnation cross,

If you're not sure what that is,

If you look at your human design chart,

You will see a group of numbers going down the right side and going down the left side.

In traditional charts,

The right side is colored in black,

The left side is colored in red.

So,

The right,

The black is conscious,

The left is unconscious.

If you're looking at my chart currently,

The right side is actually blue and the left side is pink.

The top two numbers on the right side,

That is your conscious or personality sun and earth.

In the 4-1 profiles case,

That's going to be where the four line lives and the unconscious side,

The left side,

The red side or pink on my chart,

Is going to be the unconscious sun on earth.

And these are the most important placements of your chart.

In order for them to really fulfill their purpose,

Their destiny,

That 4-1 profile is very deeply connected to their incarnation cross in what they're here to do in the world.

If they get thrown off track,

This can be really problematic.

And in Jess's story that I told in the beginning,

Jess was working a job that really was not part of her destiny.

It was not on her path.

And she had told me,

She had thought for the longest time that she wanted to do something in fitness and body,

Mind,

Spirit alignment,

But she waited until she got to that point of burnout before she really got to the right track.

And that can happen with the 4-1.

If you have a 4-1 profile and you get too far off track,

You will get pushed back on track.

Sometimes this can happen through things like burnout or big events in your life.

So staying on track is super important.

Now the fourth line is the conscious aspect of this profile.

This is upper trigram.

This is actually transpersonal out in the world.

The fourth line is very much about their relationships and about their networks.

They can be very influential over the people in their networks.

They can receive opportunities through their networks,

Provide opportunities to their networks.

And this is why they're called the opportunist in traditional human design and the influencer in BG5,

Because they can be very influential.

Now they are a foundational line.

They're the foundational aspect of the upper hexagram in the Ip Ching and where these profile lines came from.

And they need a solid foundation.

So this is one of the very fixed lines,

As is the first line,

Which we'll get to soon.

But the 4-1 profile is really the most fixed,

Steadfast of all the profiles.

And as I've already said with the 4-1,

They have a very steady path that they need to follow.

Now with that fourth line,

It is super important that they're in the right networks,

Because if they're in the wrong networks,

They are not on the correct path.

And they can't really share their message.

So being in the right networks and around the right people is absolutely essential.

Now the fourth line,

They tend to be very warm,

Kind,

And loving people.

They also have a very big fear of rejection.

Because their network is so important,

Their relationships are so important,

That fear of rejection can be a really,

Really big one for them.

And this can be a problem in business,

Because you have an important message to share as a 4-1.

And if you're not sharing it because you're afraid of rejection,

If you're not speaking your truth,

You're not out there sharing what you have to share to be a positive influence on your network,

Then business success is really out of reach for you.

So doing any of your personal development work around that fear of rejection is going to be really important for you.

There are also other markers in the chart that can make this very even stronger.

So getting an understanding of those and doing that work,

Understanding that rejection is protection for you.

The people that reject you,

They are not the right network.

They're not the right people for you.

And if you do get rejected,

Great.

That's one person that you're not wasting your time with.

So that you can share your brilliance with the people that are correct for you.

Another thing to watch out for with that fourth line,

They can be the kindest,

Most loving,

Most open,

And friendly people.

However,

They can also fall into that binary of being very mean and cruel,

Especially around rejection.

And if a fourth line gets an inkling or a feeling that you might reject them,

They may just reject you first,

Just to avoid the pain that comes with that rejection.

So just being aware of those binaries is really important for you.

Now if we move to the first line,

This is the unconscious line for the 401 profile,

Meaning you may not be as aware of this.

If you've done a lot of personal development work,

Then yes,

This is probably something that you are aware of.

It is something that other people will know about you.

Other people see this in you for sure.

And even if,

You know,

You hear this,

You're like,

I'm not like that.

Ask your friends,

Because they'll probably be like,

Yep,

That is you.

And that was totally true for me.

I'm a 5-1 profile,

So I also have the unconscious first line.

And people were like,

Oh yeah,

That's completely you.

That first line,

This is also foundational.

This is the foundation of the entire hexagram.

It's the foundation of the lower trigram.

And it needs information in order to feel secure.

There is an element of insecurity here,

Of a fear of the unknown.

And building a stable foundation,

A stable base through study and through research and investigation is absolutely essential for first lines.

They tend to be more inwardly focused.

They need plenty of time alone to just be in their own space,

To do their studies,

To do their research that they can then eventually bring out to their network and be influential with.

So with that fourth line,

With that 4-1 profile,

We do have a little bit of this dilemma.

The 4 is outgoing,

It's social in its nature.

The 1 is more inward focused,

It wants to be alone.

And it's important to really balance both parts of those aspects.

Now with the first line,

One of the things,

One of the traps that we as first lines can fall into,

And I say we because I'm a 5-1,

Is that we feel like we never know enough,

We always need more certifications,

We can't put anything out there until we feel completely confident in what we know.

And it's really important to learn to implement while continuing to research because you're going to research for the rest of your life.

This investigation thing,

It's never over.

It's a journey,

It's not a destination.

If you have a first line in your profile,

You probably know way more than you give yourself credit for.

You probably have way more depth than you give yourself credit for.

And really starting to share that depth and that wisdom with the world is really important.

You do want to be careful about not going out there and sharing too soon.

Like if you just discovered something new and you were just in the early stages of research,

It might be too soon to start sharing that.

You want to make sure you do have that solid foundation when you share it,

But watch out for that fine line of not ever feeling like you know enough or that dilemma between sharing too soon and not sharing at all.

Following your strategy and authority is going to be really big here because it will let you know when the time is right to share what you need to share.

With that 4-1 together,

This is fixed fate.

This is the most fixed of all the profiles.

Both the first line and the fourth line are very fixed.

They can be quite stubborn and that is okay.

This is like healthy stubbornness.

A 4-1 is not going to change tracks.

They are on a very specific path.

They have a very specific destiny to fulfill and they need to stay on that track because when they get off track,

Things go really haywire.

And with that 4-1,

They are actually much more likely to change their networks than to change their message.

So being in the right networks that you can really be influential over and that bring you the right opportunities is so important.

Again,

Strategy and authority to find the right people,

Be in the right places,

Make sure that you're actually out there.

You do want to balance those two sides.

I know that first line can really go into that mode of like I just want to stay home and study all the time for the rest of my life and be an internal student.

You do need to balance it with the fourth line.

Go out,

Connect,

Share with your network what you have been learning and also be careful about not falling into that fourth line too much where you're just out and about all the time and you never go into that inward place of building that solid foundation of research,

Knowledge,

And information.

As a 4-1,

You're not really designed to adapt to other people,

To other people's structures,

To other ways of doing things that are not your own way.

And this can be judged as really stubborn but it is healthy for you.

You need to do things in your way and stay on your track and it's important for your loved ones to understand this about you.

So sharing with your loved ones about your profile can be really beneficial.

Remember that you do need to be in the right networks and those right people will adapt to the way that is correct for you.

There is also this fear of change and when we get to this networking aspect,

One of the pitfalls can be staying in the wrong network because you're afraid of change but you're not designed to adapt to those people that are not on your tracks with you.

And that is super,

Super important.

I know this one can be a really sticking point.

You have to trust yourself.

You are here for a very specific purpose.

In order to fulfill that purpose,

To fulfill your potential,

You need to stay on your track and the right people will come with you on that ride.

Do not try to jump tracks and go in somebody else's direction if that doesn't feel aligned for you because that's not gonna lead you to where you want to go.

Staying on your path is absolutely essential for you to fulfill your purpose.

That's it for the 401 profile.

I would love it if you enjoy this episode.
