IRest Practice 7: Inner Resource Meditation
You inner resource is an internal felt-sense that's unique to you. You draw strength and comfort from it. As you form your inner resource, reflect on people, animals, objects, and places that help you recall it. Also consider sounds, tastes, smells, and other qualities that help you access it. It is a multi-dimensional experience that you can reach through many inner and outer pathways. At first, it may feel like something you're making up. It's important to feel your inner resource in your body, as a physical sensation. With practice, you'll be able to instantly feel your inner resource. Ultimately, the most powerful inner resource is simple feeling of being (see iRest Practices 1-3). iRest Practice 7: Inner Resource Meditation from the iRest Program for Healing PTSD: A Proven Effective Approach to Using Yoga Nidra Meditation & Deep Relaxation Techniques to Overcome Trauma.
