This practice dissolves our identification with I-thought, dissolves our belief in being a separate self, and leads us to experiencing ourselves as an interconnected part of the whole. Who or what is this “I” that’s experiencing all of these changing movements of mind, body, senses, and world? When we ask these questions, we realize there is no separate “I”, our “I” is just another thought arising in awareness. Ultimately, there is only awareness. iRest Practice 32: Being Awareness II from the iRest Program for Healing PTSD: A Proven Effective Approach to Using Yoga Nidra Meditation & Deep Relaxation Techniques to Overcome Trauma. Written by Richard C. Miller, PhD. Recorded by Erin Finck, TCTSY-F, RYT 500, Level 1 iRest Teacher
