Pretty Tree (Loving and Letting Go)

What can a cherry tree tell us about loving? This song by Ani McManus is a mesmerized meditation on the beauty of a cherry tree as it goes from budding in early Spring, to exploding in passionate blossoms, to an exhausted, satisfied completion in May. As I explored it during recording, I felt myself moved through my own memories of the different phases of giving myself to love, being enraptured by it, and the final poignant surprise of realizing that I can, in fact, let go, when it's time.

Beautiful! This meditation helped me keep focus on the Cherry Blossom Tree and not shift my mind.

I imagained the smell of the buds on the tree. I took notice of how fragile the buds are. I took notice of the color of the buds.
