Butterfly
by Trina Brunk
It's common to think of butterflies as being inconsequential, because the way they float on the air, and the way it seems like they don't have to work hard, and live on nectar. But of course, butterflies are way more than that. I see a parallel between those times when we go through a dark night of the soul, and the deep transformation that a butterfly has to go through to complete its life cycle. And I wish to honor those who are going through that deeply personal private process of the complete breaking down of who you used to be, as you allow yourself to become what is real for you now. And I give thanks to those who are planting pollinator gardens!! Thank you thank you thank you.
