Hello and welcome to the Travel with Meditation podcast.

My name is Pam and I am honored to accompany you on this journey today.

Subscribe so that you don't miss anything.

Please only listen to this podcast if you are in a situation where it is safe for you to potentially fall asleep.

Feeling fully in the present moment is a precious gift that we can give ourselves.

I invite you to accept this gift along our journey today.

Start by finding a comfortable position,

Seated or lying down.

Let your arms rest at your sides and your hands open and relaxed.

Breathe deeply and slowly to start to relax your body.

Breathe in and out.

Breathe in and out.

Keep breathing slowly like this,

Allowing each breath to relax your body as you release tension each time you exhale.

When you are ready,

Close your eyes.

Pay attention to the movements that happen throughout your body while inhaling and exhaling.

Notice the expansions and contractions of your chest.

Feel the physical,

Emotional and mental tensions dissolve without having to make any effort at all.

Little by little,

Areas of peace and serenity begin to arise between one thought and another.

Inhale and exhale.

Do not feel rushed in any way.

Take three more deep breaths.

Create a picture in your mind of strolling down a familiar road with familiar houses.

The sun is quickly setting on this quaint Connecticut town that is filled with happy memories.

You feel yourself gently moving down this path with little effort.

The gentle breeze is singing a familiar tune.

Where you lead,

I will follow.

It softly whispers in the wind.

You are in Stars Hollow.

It is chilly,

But thankfully you are bundled up in your favorite hat,

Mittens and scarf.

You are completely warm,

But the crisp air feels refreshing as you breathe slowly.

In and out.

In and out.

In and out.

As you continue moving through the town,

You notice Stars Hollow books to your left.

A tree out front still has some golden leaves on it even though winter is making its way to town.

Going into this forest green store with the yellow and red sign is a typical thing you would do on a day like today.

You think of the unfinished books on your dresser at home and you continue your stroll through the town.

There is absolutely nothing at all for you to do except relax and enjoy these wonderful,

Calm and peaceful feelings.

So quiet,

Relaxed,

So peaceful.

On your right is a big pale yellow house with a big balcony on the second floor.

A white picket fence surrounds the house.

You stop at the fence of Kim's Antiques and look around the front lawn.

You love passing by this house as there is always a new treasure to see.

A tall easel,

A mahogany bureau and rocking chairs on both sides of the path to the front porch adorn this space.

You look to your left and the sparkly white lights decorating the town square catch your eye.

You begin to move towards the town.

You pass the lit up Stars Hollow sign and proceed towards the iconic gazebo.

With its brick base and tall white columns it looks particularly inviting covered in white string lights.

You go into the middle of the gazebo and slowly turn and look at all the angles of this lovely place.

You look at Stars Hollow High,

The big brick building.

As you continue turning you see the lovely white church that is shared by all of the people of the town.

Some golden and crispy remnants of autumn decorate the green grass that is not yet covered in a sheet of white.

You think of laughs that you have had and sentimental moments that have taken place here.

You are so relaxed and calm.

At peace.

You take a few moments to breathe in this wonderful feeling.

Experience it now.

This quiet,

Calm and peaceful feeling.

Just see how good it makes you feel.

The cold is setting in a bit more now and you know you'll feel a chill if you don't keep moving.

You move swiftly past Dosey's Market and Taylor's Soda Shop.

At this time of the day they are quiet.

You see that friendly yellow cup of Java hanging across the street.

You know that once you make it inside Luke's Diner you will warm up fast.

You are now in front of Luke's Diner but before you head in you pause.

You feel something magical in the air.

Maybe you even smell something.

A smell unique and lovely that only you know.

It's snow.

Everything is magical when it snows.

Flakes and flurries gently fall to the ground.

You notice the flakes melting on your gloves.

When the flakes start to hit your face you feel a tingly sensation where the snow touches your skin.

It is getting even colder and when you look inside it looks so warm.

So you head inside.

You sit near the window so that you can watch the peaceful snow while you relax with your favorite toasty beverage.

You can return here anytime you wish.

Anytime you wish you can come back here all with the power of your mind.

All you need to do is to be calm and relaxed.

To relax all you need to do is take three long deep breaths.

Hold each one for the mental count of five.

And as you slowly exhale all the air from your mouth just think in your mind the words deeply relaxed.

And you will find that you will become deeply and comfortably relaxed.

As you become deeply and comfortably relaxed you'll remember these feelings of peace.

This still wonderful calm place deep within you.

If you would like to fall asleep gently doze off and stop listening.

At the count of one you'll be wide awake.

I'm going to count down from five to one.

Five.

Four.

Three.

Two.

One.

You are now awake and ready to continue the day in this relaxed and energized state.
